   Ffiona’s is a delight. My first time at Ffiona’s was shortly after she opened in 1993. Needless to say there’s a lot of us returning again and again and with good reason. I’ve eaten my way through the entire menu. She never disappoints. I’ll look forward to trying her latest edition: steak pie!! A cozy restaurant with great food and unmatched hospitality.

   Lovely homey place. The menu doesn’t lie, Ffiona’s Chicken Kiev is the best in the world, but come back to try the rest of the menu - even the side dishes like the braised red cabbage and colcannon are memorable treats. All in a cozy friendly room just off the tube or bus.

    Fabulous. Everything about the evening was the platonic ideal of what a restaurant visit should be. The food was sensational. Brilliant service. Ffiona’s is just the right size. Intimate, comfortable, inviting. Loved it that Ffiona pulled up a chair and talked us through what was on the menu, gave us “further particulars” about the dishes and how they were prepared. I’ve been meaning to give Ffiona’s a try for a long time - not least because I’ve heard such good things about it from London friends who are serious restaurant goers - and I was so pleased I got there. My pals were right. And I’ve got a new Numero Uno, a new favourite London restaurant. But don’t just take it from me. One of our party was a sophisticated New Yorker, a gourmet, a serious restaurant goer: he said it was the best meal he’d had in a year.
