The Felix’s story is that of the New Orleans Oyster Bar. Ask any New Orleanian where their dad or grandpa took them for their first oysters. The answer is always Felix’s.

Back in the 1940’s, Felix’s put the New Orleans oyster bar on the map, creating a place where oyster-lovers could ‘belly up to the bar’ and have the freshest oysters shucked right in front of them. Felix’s fast became a New Orleans’ institution that drew a devoted local, national and international following which has inspired generations of oyster fans.

Really disappointing, the staff were super rude checking in & throughout the whole meal. Half the menu was unavailable on a Saturday night. The food itself just wasn’t good. With so much wonderful food in New Orleans, I would just pick another spot.

I had a surprise birthday party Nice atmosphere. Salty and spicy food even after changing plates . We all very disappointed. Oysters were fabulous 😋what made our night special is Angela one of the managers that was on shift ! She was the best of giving service super nice and friendly and professional If I would come back to Felix just because Angela was so welcoming ❤️❤️ Thanks Angela so much for everything you are the best ❤️❤️🌹

Food was way too salty. BBQ shrimp was not fresh (was served without shell/head) & sauce was extremely salty. Jambalaya pasta sauce was also very salty. Beet salad did not have tomatoes, radishes, pine nuts or citrus segments, as described on the menu. The server brought the raw oysters first, even though we were clear when we asked that they be served as a main course. Poor!

Save your $. Food was disgusting!!!! Service was fine once we found someone that would actually help/serve us. RIDICULOUS!!!!

Amazing food and experience. I sat on the upper balcony with live music playing below and a great view of the ocean, there were fans to keep the area cool and the servers took good care of me. I didn't eat a single thing I didn't think was amazing. Definitely a place to visit if you're in New Orleans
