   Friendly service and great food. We went for Sunday lunch and everything was amazing, especially the cauliflower cheese, so we ordered a second one!

   We had a very nice meal. Place was crowded and noisy but that was to be expected this time of year. Service was wonderful and food was lovely

   Love this little place - Best roast dinner in Woodford. It is bright and spacious and the food is delicious. The cauliflour cheese is naughty, but very nice. Thank you team.

   Not our first trip to the revamped Travellers Friend. It was an un-busy Wednesday lunchtime and only two other tables were occupied. The lunch menu is a stripped down gastro-pub affair but everything on it is a winner in my book. Despite the lack of customers the service was a bit hit and miss but thoroughly polite and charming nonetheless. The food is first-rate, especially the fish on offer when we visited. A big lunch for 3 of us cost £60 plus the tip, which is good value considering the quality of the food and the comfort of the smart dining room.

   The only reason I would not recommend to a Friend because of the Service the staff they have are lovely but there are not enough staff to cater for the clients we wait along time for drinks etc, they would ask if we needed anything and when we said we wanted extra things like fork glass salt & pepper etc we had to keep asking other wise the food was nice and the atmosphere was friendly

    This was the first time we had eaten at The Travellers Friend having only popped in for a drink previously and we were all so impressed. Warm, friendly service and a great uptempo atmosphere. Big portions of excellent roast dinners with delicious side dishes including red cabbage, cauliflower cheese and freshly steamed green veg. Only marked down slightly for the roast potatoes which were not quite as crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside as I like them, but all in all a big hit. Thank you!
