   My wife and I got breakfast before a wine tour. The southern omelette and the duck fat fries were outstanding. The biscuits with a side of syrup were a great dessert. Will eat there again when in Charlottesville.

   It was my first time because it’s been so busy when I’ve tried to come before. Service was welcoming and accommodating. Coffee was delicious. Waitstaff was lovely. Food is not inexpensive and yet it took a really long time to get it and it was good but seemed to have been sitting a bit (was not hot) and it taste was okay, not outstanding. That said, I’ll return and recommend it. I love locally sourced and “the vibe”. Plus I’ll pay all day for friendly, excellent customer service!

   We chose to have brunch at Farm Bell Kitchen based on the variety of positive online reviews available. We also thought, based on the very limited number of reservations available, that must be a sign that it is really good. I will start by saying that our server was awesome - no problems there. However, we were disappointed in the rest of the "service." Thankfully we weren't in a hurry because the kitchen was very backed up, and it took a LONG time to receive our entrees. I ordered the fried chicken and waffle, and my husband ordered the Farm Bell Benedict. The waffle was pretty generic and the fried chicken was unfortunately over done - the coating was almost burnt. In addition, the egg on my husband's benedict was in no way runny, which was also disappointing. We did order the biscuit board to start and that ended up being the best part of the meal. Lastly, their restroom situation is a bit, shall we say, unique. I used the restroom in the basement, which has a hook and eye type lock, so as a consequence, if someone pushes on the door to see if the restroom is occupied, the door opens slightly exposing the person who is using the restroom - not ideal. We would give this place another shot, but won't be running back.

   Seems we hit them on a bad day since it was highly recommended to me. My food came with the appearance of having set under a heat lamp for a long time. One drink order was forgotten. In general the food did not justify the prices. I've had better at a diner. This was Sunday brunch and I had high expectations.

   Food is really just average. Coffee is really done well. The food could be good but it lacks flavor. I ordered an eggs Benedict with pork belly and the pork belly was done horribly. Over cooked and flavorless. To make my meal palatable I had to add hot sauce which it should not have needed. Our server acknowledged that he forgot about us. Honestly for the price this place isn’t great. Ambiance is cute but this place wouldn’t last a month if it were in DC

   We had a reservation. we were seated an no one came to our table to ever take a drink order for at least 15 mins. WE had to get up and get the hostess involved. VERY poor service continued.. Very sad becasue the food is very good.

   Although the food was very good, the service was not the greatest. Our beverages were not refilled until we asked and we couldn't locate our original server. We were ready to order at first pass and the "few more minutes" turned out to be a rather lengthy wait. Lastly, the bill was brought without first asking if any one wanted dessert. Also, the noise level was so "energetic", I had to lean in to hear my table mate on the other side of the table. Very good food, sloppy service. I will try it again

    Delightful brunch spot. My only complaint is that we ordered crab beignets as a starter, and we reminded our server over and over to bring them. They finally came out when we were done with the rest of our meal! I would have appreciated if they would have at least offered to take the beignets off of our bill.
