   Fable was amazing! Such an elevated dining experience. The place is beautiful, the drinks are beautiful, the food is beautiful.

   My wife and I received a gift card for Fable from a neighbor and decided to go last Thursday (04.24.25). Fable is a charming restaurant in an open mall with the ability to seat outside when the weather allows. The restaurant was well attended for a Thursday evening and the service was fast and attentive. We both started with the Caesar salad which was served on crisp, chopped Romaine with strips of Parmesan, flavorful and crisp croutons, and was not over-dressed. My wife ordered the fried chicken as her main dish and I got the short rib. Her chicken was outstanding! It was a large and tender breast/wing with a panko crust served sliced. The chicken was tender and juicy. It was served with a biscuit, cooked collard greens with bacon and a mildly spice honey mustard dipping sauce. My short rib was served shredded with a few gnocchi - which were pretty soggy - and parsley garnish. The beef was tender but kind of a one-trick-pony. For dessert we shared a flourless chocolate tort, which was excellent, and I had a digestive called The Dark Horse which has coffee, coffee liqueur, and dark rum. It was incredible. We will definitely be back to this Eldorado gem! Hopefully, for years to come.

   What a great evening. Everything was delicious. The fish special of Halibut was beautifully plated, and my husband said it was better than what he had at a high-end restaurant on Easter in downtown Santa Fe. The wait person was friendly and professional at the same time. The only negative was the person greeting us when we entered. She could have been friendlier and more communicative.

   Nice to have a good restaurant so close to home. The food was generally well-prepared and tasty. The portion size for the soup appetizer was more child-like than adult. The service was brisk and professional once we were seated, however, the entry to the restaurant was confusing and managed by a person who didn't seem to know what was going on. This might all be part of what happens when you're on a "shake-down cruise." The prices were reasonable though a $69 buffalo strip made me wonder if the animal had been placed on the endangered list. My partner and I, also, each received a different dinner menu. Cute, funny, but still evidence of the shake-down cruise for this restaurant. Overall, it was good experience and we'll be back.
