The braised veal and lobster tail were excellent and worth the visit. The jerky was very tough and the oyster dish was bland. The VR headset video was too long and the bit where the fisherman pulled up the trash was not appetizing. After such a weird intro I expected the oyster to be fantastic but it was very disappointing. The warm donut hole with maple butter was a great dessert and the cotton candy was a fun ending. Overall a good experience, but definitely needs some work to be recommended by Michelin.

The only great dish was the veal with potato puree. The grilled lobster was ok, but nothing mind-blowing… The desserts were shockingly underwhelming. The artworks used in the decor are true eyesores, though…

We booked a reservation the moment we heard Europea got one of the first Michelin stars in Montreal. The food was innovative and there were elements that make it a Michelin-star restaurant: a greeting from all servers while being seated upon arrival, napkins folded when you get up from the table, prompt service and a handful of dishes with memorable flavours. But overall, the experience was not worth the expense; and I say this as a frequent diner at Michelin-star restaurants in other cities. The service -- with one exception (the sommelier) -- was perfunctory, lacking genuine engagement, and a few of the dishes were merely average in taste, which at this level of dining experience, should not be the case. I hope they're able to refine this going forward.

The meal began with some small bites to warm up the palate, the foie gras shot was dominated by “meat juice” (you’ll notice this going forward in the review) and was the first indicator to me that the rest of this menu may have some balance issues. The beef jerky was badly prepared and much too hard. The potato churro was alright, but nothing special or innovative. The lobster cappuccino was a very interesting and new concept that was perfectly executed and well balanced Moving onwards the lobster dish was impeccable, well balanced, good flavor and concept explorations. The following course and beyond that was downhill. The caviar service was not up to par and the chip and gel between the chips overtook any flavor of caviar that was present, the accompanying egg yolk with cornbread was badly served with the cornbread being dry and hard and the yolk holding pieces of broken eggshell due to the auspicious presentation of crumbling the eggshell it was contained in, by hand, with not much regard for the contents. The flavor of the oyster was lost in a mélange of flavor that just made the entire bite taste like sea water with some interesting textures. The veal dish was very average and overtaken by the “meat juice” ( are you seeing the trend here?) The course to follow which was called the Chefs enigma was pretty much that, an enigma to myself of how on earth the kitchen put this on the menu. The entire dish was dominated by the “meat juice” once again and was just an overall bad dish, some staff members shared their dislike of this dish when I was asked my thoughts. The sweet desert was a very average pot of cream, a donut hole that could’ve come from Tim Hortons and some maple cotton candy which if you have visited Quebec before, is very common, and this didn’t bring anything different to the table. The final deserts continued along this lackluster journey with a very visually appealing apple that only tasted of apple sauce, no other flavors present

Really lovely staff, who I'm sure were tired from working hard all weekend, but still made our experience feel special. The food was great; as we eat well often, we're always on the look out for something inventive that we've never had - the lobster cappuccino hit the mark. The sommelier was fantastic and we appreciated the wine selection and pairings. Over all the meal was a fair price for the quality and craftsmanship of the food. The welcome pour of La Grande Dame was pretty marked up, but a delightful way to start the experience all the same.

The food truly stood out; every dish was bursting with flavor, and the portion sizes were generous. However, some of our servers were polite but lacked the warmth and attentiveness that one might expect from a fine dining restaurant, was a bit too transactional. Also, I encountered a chipped glass during my meal, which was disappointing and raised concerns about attention to detail. One final note: I left the restaurant with my clothes smelling of the kitchen, which is not ideal for a place aiming for a high-end experience. It didn’t feel like a Michelin star experience.

Everything was great except the food! Service and ambiance were wonderful. Food was bland and trying too hard. It seemed everything had some sort of white creamy textured goo that tasted like nothingness.
