   We arrived early and we were seated downstairs for a cozy dinner. Ben was a fantastic server! The Rack of Lamb was so tender and cooked with an unusually delicious fruit medley topping! Perfect before or after dinner after Citizens Opera House Performance.

   Wait staff friendly, helpful and attentive--and we easily got out in time for our concert without feeling rushed. Fried yucca and its sauce delicious (and not greasy)! But the noise level is high. I don't know who started the rumor back in the 80s that people enjoy that, and maybe it's true, but without exception no one I know does, from age 18 to 88. If we could talk without lip reading, Estella's would solve the perennial problem of finding a good place to eat with good service in the Theater District. Carpeting would help soak up the sound.

   I probably should have read other reviews more carefully to understand the energetic vibe of this place. It felt more like a bar scene with the noise levels and TVs in the mezzanine seating area. Our server was lovely and was helpful in getting us out in time for a show. Cocktails were good and a decent size, food was ok though my friend thought her ravioli was a little underdone. I had the branzino and it was a generous portion and the tomato and white beans that were served with it were tasty. Overall good but not a quiet atmosphere!

   I came here for my fiancee's birthday since she wanted to try the Rasta Pasta. We made a reservation and never got our entrees after waiting for 1 hour and 15 minutes. (Yes 1 hour and 15 minutes). We had drinks and they were good. We also had a small appetizer. However, the service wasn't the best, the wait time was unacceptable, and when I motioned to leave the Manager made an odd comment about my departure as if I was sick or something. Overall I will likely not be coming back here.

   it was very loud. seats were so close to gather that my chair was hitting the chair of the person sitting behind me and moving around was difficult. Food was very good.

   Wonderful meal and a wonderful server. Everything was great and both adults and teen boys (a difficult audience) enjoyed their meals immensely.

    I ordered a steak special and the waiter did not ask how I would like it to be cooked. When I received the steak, it was completely overcooked. In addition, the cut of the steak was terrible, it was not one solid piece, but instead several small pieces separated by veins of fat. Service was inattentive. I will not be going back.
