Being feom Boston, Esca reminded me of a restaurant in the the North End. Delicious Italian food served up hot with a friendly smile. We will be back!

I made a reservation and it was accepted. It was a dinner set up between the 2 Harry Potter shows. We had to ran to make sure we made it on time. We got there and the restaurant is close. We are just visiting so we don't very much about the area. We thought we were in the wrong place. We tried calling the restaurant and nobody answered.

Went on a voucher for two steaks and two drinks. Found this to be reasonable value, however when the steak came it was simply a steak on a plate, could have done with a small salad or a small bit of veg to present it better or liven it up a bit and fill the plate a bit as it looked bare. The steak was cooked beautifully, however the peppercorn sauce was watery and lacked any taste. There was a small side for two to share - again not much to the side for sharing. We also had two additional starters which were nice and a desert between us which was lovely. Food was really nice here and the waiting staff are attentive and we didn't have any complaints at all.

Lovely cosy intimate setting. Delicious food and friendly attentive staff. This was my first visit and I would definitely recommend and return 😊
