   The food was very good and the service was great. The waiter was attentive without hovering & he was very friendly. My 2 friends both had the towering salad & loved it. I had pizza which was tasty. At first we didn't think much about the dessert selection but we ordered the strudel & it was soooo good. Good place for a relaxing dinner.

   Three of us were at Enigma Urban Eatery for Fathers Day brunch at 11am and we did not receive our food until 11.55am. The food was cold, the poached eggs swimming in a watery slime, the toast un-toasted with no butter or jam offered. The coffee was terrible. The venue was not particularly busy for a Sunday lunchtime. I have been to the restaurant on one other occasion since it changed hands and the food was not good but the experience not as disastrous as this occasion. I live in the neighbourhood and would really love this restaurant with its updated decor and pleasant ambiance to succeed in our area. I suppose it might work as a sports bar but it is not succeeding as a venue for good food.

   Great place to go after work for happy hour; food is good; had fun watching Game 5 of the Raptors/Warriors game

   After a long conference day, a group of colleagues and I booked for a late dinner at Enigma precisely because they offered a 9.30 reservation time. Only after getting drinks were we told that the kitchen was closed, and they wouldn't serve us food, which left us stuck for an alternative. The server was polite about it, but seemed inexperienced. But overall a terrible experience. Please do not take reservations if you are not willing/able to provide a meal!

   Food was cold, wine was hot! Too bad, we need a good restaurant in this area. I love the location and atmosphere, service was very good but food very poor

   We came in looking for a quiet, interesting family dinner. It was quiet enough for civilized conversation and though the food was well prepared, the menu was limited. The alcoholic offerings were more extensive. My guess is the the drinks were the features while the food was the tag along. If that was the plan, it works well. Just don't expect a rich dining experience.

   It was father's day, and they were understaffed - evidently both in the kitchen and FOH. There was no manager on site and my brother, father and I waited two hours for our food. The servers were very apologetic and it took everything in my power not to give them a pep-talk about how many better restaurants and companies there are to work for in Vancouver, and how they should never have to work under such conditions. Poor staff. Awful management.

   Very bad experience. Did not get my food for 1.5 hours and it was cold. Will not go back

   This restaurant has changed hands, remodeled, and got a completely new menu since the days when I used to eat there regularly as my "local" when it was owned by the South African couple. I'm not sure why the new owners kept the name. It's not the same restaurant at all. Same floor plan, but that's about it. I've eaten there twice now under the new incarnation. The food is not consistently good. My first dinner experience there it was excellent and I was very pleased. But at lunch yesterday, I ordered the baby back ribs and they were dry and disappointing. The service was slow at lunch as well. I'll give them some more chances, as it really is a great location, convenient, and nice to have a casual general restaurant in the neighborhood.
