I had hoped to enjoy this night spot in spite of the very poor reviews. That was not to be. This is advertised a an entertainment venue with live music. There was none. I tryed for several days to get them on the phone with no luck so we went anyway. When I asked the owner about the lack of music and not answering the phone he was not very interested in hearing it. The food was nicely presented but cold. I can not imagine a circumstance where I would return.

Loved the concept of a 1920's club with entertainment from that era. The online menu needs to be updated to avoid disappointment in the actual in club menu. There were several items listed online that were not available. The kitchen, bar and waitstaff were extremely slow and our waitress didn't really have the personality or people skills for that type of environment. With some minor tweaks and improvement in the service and menu, this club could be a real gem! I will be back, but will give them a few months to hopefully improve service.

I knew going in that a lot of people had said that they had bad experiences with service here but still decided to give it a try. My wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that it was different. The magic and burlesque was entertaining but the service was absolutely horrendous. They constantly apologized for being understaffed so it was clear they were aware of the situation. It took roughly an hour for two different tapas to come out. When I went back to the bar to try to get another drink I stood there for roughly twenty minutes without ever being acknowledged and decided against it. This place has potential but they have to do a better job in the service department.

New restaurant but the food choices were awful. We only had about 7 items to pick from on the menu. The show was ok with a singer, magician and a burlesque dance. The waitress tried her best but was rushing all night. Really hope this endeavor is successful.

"Lovely" was awesome. Great customer service and was always tentative. Friday night Latin night ( starts at 10 but better around 1130 and on)

So I read reviews that were horrible but my wife kept saying lets go check it out. I can see a few ways how someone would have something negative to write, but all in all, it depends on the person and their expectation. If I went to a 1920 themed restaurant at Disney World, I would expect a real time machine ride until eating, but I simply went out for food, drinks, and a show and we got all of that. The food choices were moderate, and we ordered several items. To my surprise, everything tasted delicious. I had the prohibition wings, Ciroc Peach and the Patron, both good but Patron are probably the best hot wings ever! Who'd have thunk Patron and buffalo sauce? We have the artichoke dip and that was fantastic, fresh real artichoke, not that bar saucy stuff they call Spinach Artichoke dip. Then we both split a lobster-crab cake. That thing is huge! I eat at all the best places around and travel often, and I still loved it. Its far too good actually to not have people writing decent reviews, its not average bar food, its well prepared food, period! The place overall is nice now but has amazing potential. The only thing missing were other people. Its a new business and they are very slow so I joked with my wife and said I rented the place out just for us (then about 6 others came and sat at the bar). We had a personal magician come to our table and do a key bending trick, they had a burlesque dancer performing, and the music was hip 20's style. I dig it and can definitely see it growing someday. If anyone is reading this, just check it out, they are super nice and friendly. Cant wait for it to blossom so the next time I check it out, me and my wife can go and dance. I couldve wrote a review and gave them advice on what to improve but c'mon! Leave that for journalist and critics, or go open a business yourself. I loved it and see the potential being awesome. Thanks Empire, hang in there.

After not receiving our reservation from Opentable.com, my girlfriend and I were placed in a balcony in an uncomfortable and stuffy corner only to later be moved even more uncomfortable seating shortly thereafter. We were moved because we were told a group of 4 needed our seats. 30 minutes later, 2 people came and sat in our former seats and a 3rd and 4th never joined them. After 1 hour and ONLY 1 cocktail later, we decided to go to a restaurant more prepared to serve us. Unfortunately, we missed that reservation waiting on our flapper-ish waitress to bring us our check. A piece of advice, I suggest you all step your game up or else this "Empire," will fall harder than the Romans. Sometimes, no opening is better than a soft opening.
