Welcome to Emma's Torch, a unique restaurant that serves New American cuisine cooked by new Americans.

Emma's Torch empowers refugees through culinary training and helps them build new lives in their new communities. Our restaurant and your dining experience is part of our training program. Our students get valuable on-the-job work experience in our kitchen.

Our seasonal New American cuisine is prepared using fresh, local ingredients. Our Culinary Director, Chef Alexander Harris, is an alum of Danny Meyers Union Square Hospitality Group.

Excellent food, service and couldn't have been more reasonable. That IPA with the four names is just terrific. And, I am not a fan of IPAs.

A group of friends and I went to this restaurant for the first time. What a treat! The food was delicious and the service was great. The owner even came around to thank us all for dining. Besides the food being great, they have a good business model and help those new to the area. GO EAT HERE. I'll definitely be back.

Such a great meal at Emma’s Torch. Everything we ordered was delicious - hummus, lamb meatballs, fried artichokes, chicken and brisket. Also love their mission. Will definitely be back!!

Everyone is so nice who works here! They were able to answer all my questions, no matter how arbitrary (I admittedly don’t know much about food), and everything came out super quickly. The food itself is exceptionally good, too, and the prices are very reasonable.
