   We love the food at Embermill but be prepared for a leisurely meal. Combined with the lack of noise, this makes it easy to get into extended conversations before the food arrives and is great if you aren't in a rush to be somewhere.

   Our new favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. Have been there three times already. Great and interesting food. Fantastic chef and people working there. Wonderful atmosphere. I think still some start up issues with service. But still can’t wait for visit 4! The beef was amazing as was the chicken and the beet salad. And on and on

   The food is delicious! Blackened catfish is my favorite dish so far, but looking forward to trying the rest of the menu!

   Really loved our experience at embermill! The food was amazing and Chef Herold is great! It’s something new and fresh on state street which is just what Santa Barbara needs.

   What a great addition to Santa Barbara's restaurant scene. From the delicious "farm to bar" cocktail to the succulent pork dish and flavorful catfish, this was the relaxed but sophisticated offering we hoped it would be. Great staff and reggae soundtrack plus a friendly visit from the chef. Our only concern is that despite the strong reviews (which were more than backed up by our experience) traffic seemed light. Give it a chance so we can keep Embermill around! Santa Barbara needs this. We'll be back.
