   We enjoyed several delicious dishes at Elena. The jumbo shrimp and chicken skewers were beautifully prepared & tasted great. Salads were also very good. Service was friendly and attentive, couldn’t have been better! The quality of food here is excellent.

   The Mediterranean Salad was delightfully fresh and delicately dressed in olive oil and lemon, a nice size to share. Our main courses were salmon and red snapper (both wild-caught), done to perfection and seasoned just right. A wine selection as good as one would expect in a fine California restaurant. Do yourself a favor and book a table now!

   Quiet, warm and casual white table neighborhood gem! Excellent food and wine served by the attentive owner. A great place for conversation among friends. Perfect kabobs,  chicken, lamb, and salmon dishes served with organic veggies. Great vegetarian options. delicious baklava and tiramisu.

   Highest quality in all zones: fresh, natural foods prepared with care and served with personal attention to diners’ preferences. The experience is like being a guest in a friend’s home. We enjoyed the best ever dolmas with a creamy filling; thick, savory lamb ribs; and a falafel plate. The falafel was cooked perfectly - fluffy and moist with a thinly crisped crust. Our host, Matthew, suggested two delightful wines to enhance the cuisine, one white and one red. We were so happy and satisfied there, we didn’t want to leave, so we ordered Tiramisu. It was an authentic Italian version of this popular dessert - not too rich or too sweet. A mild coffee latte added the final “light touch” to an exquisite meal. In short - fresh, friendly, and fufilling!

   I did it again! Couldn’t resist a repeat visit to Elena Mediterranean restaurant on Columbus Avenue – do not confuse it with a Elena Cafe, which is somewhere else in SF! This North Beach neighborhood gem is still undiscovered by many. Top quality lamb, salmon and snapper, kabobs with farro, organic veggies. Chef is a master. Great wines, desserts. Casual and quiet.

   Quiet and cozy… a great place for conversation over a fabulous meal. Great wine list! And freshly prepared free range meats and line caught fish, served with organic vegetables. Beautiful carefully crafted Mediterranean salads and toasted pita chips. Healthy, top notch and fairly priced!! Fairly new—- An undiscovered gem!!

    Delicious Babagnoush and Farrow. Salmon was tasty, as was the lamb, albeit a bit overcooked. The Baklava was amazing - and the owner/waiter was very kind.
