   Easter Brunch. We expected it to be busy, but the restaurant couldn’t keep up with the demand at the buffet. Many empty bowls and items. I picked up a “clean plate” from the stack at the beginning of the buffet table. The plate had some kind of sauce all over the bottom of it and it was then all over my hands. Our server was wonderful and working so hard. She was bringing drinks , bussing tables and stocking glassware as well as filling requests from her tables.

   We made a reservation for Easter Brunch and we showed up 5 minutes before our reservation time. They made people wait outside in the heat. The hostess told us they were running 10 minutes behind. After we watch every group come in after us be seated. I asked again and the hostess said 1 minute. Another 15 minutes goes by and she keeps seating more people before us. We told the manager we had been waiting a half hour for our reservation. He then sat us within a couple minutes. Totally unqualified hostess for such a busy day. Everything else was fine once we were seated.

   We waited for an hour for our food then my mothers food took another 30 mins. So everyone was eating but her. Horrible.

   Our waiter was the worst and the place wasn’t even packed. We had to go and look for him. He stopped by our table once. Never asked for refills but all the other waiters were constantly going to their tables and making sure their guests were taking care of. Will not be going back.

   My wife and I first started going to El Torito approx 40 years ago. It was new and exotic. We had never heard of Fajitas and it was a very exciting new dish for us. It was a new dining experience. Fast forward several decades and ownership changed multiple times..... We have a reservation but one wasnt needed as the restaurant was nearly empty Sunday evening at 5pm. That being said, there was no greeter for more than 5 minutes. I said we had a reservation but she said it was be a few minutes to get a table ready. It took 20 minutes to put a table together. Dinner for 4 adults plus three children, the oldest was 3, cost $138 before tip and my wife and I split a fajitas order. The meat was NOT tender and the vegetables were julienned so small as to make them difficult to pick up with a fork. A margarita pitcher.....$30. The food was NOT great. Our server WAS great. The Bus Man was also great. but the food was disappointing. and the wait to sit down in an empty restaurant was also disappointing. We were surprised. Well, not really. It was our collective opinion that El Torito had been gradually loosing its charm and distinction for many years.

   El Torito’s Sunday Brunch was excellent! From the made to order omelette’s to the menudo, pozole and seafood area, all of your food was delicious! Thank you for providing such an amazing variety of dishes!

   It's evening like this one that management dropped the ball big time! They were way understaffed for Valentine's Day and not a manager in site to help. The staff did the best they could. The manager should be fired!

   3:30pm we were almost only customers so service was excellent food was very good and served hot.

    We were at the buffet to celebrate three family birthdays. The food and service was excellent! Our server,Jerry,was very attentive, friendly, and took great care of us! All of the food was nice and hot and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was great! We all had a wonderful time! April Darien
