   I've been here many times for brunch in the past and have nothing but terrible things to say about today's experience. I arrived at 11:45 about a half an hour before my reservation. I checked in and was told I would have to wait about additional 30 minutes from my reservation time, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. Don't overbooked or take walk ins then screw over your people with reservations. I didn't get seated till almost 1 pm, walked out, and left to another restaurant who sat us no reservation within 15 minutes.

   The salsa and chips were great. But our entrees were extremely salty. I have never tasted salty food like that. It seemed like it was anything with sauce, so enchilada and relleno. They only have one bathroom for the entire restaurant and their food score is not easily accessible.

   Delicious brunch at a reasonable price. Except, they started running out of some of the food and desert items by 1:15 pm. It's best to come early.

    I know El Torito has been around for a long time, I know because I used to eat there when I was a kid! I still do, just not so often. I need to change that! I forgot how wonderful the food is, the staff was very helpful and kind, and the restaurant was clean and very inviting! I don't know if it's only because it was the restaurant in Irvine, but I and my party enjoyed it very much!! And don't forget dessert!!! I highly recommend the Mexican Bred Pudding, and the Banana/Cheesecake Chimichanga!!!! Muy bueno!!!
