   My experience here was exceptional. The restaurant itself is very affordable, the service we received was outstanding. Will definitely return in the future.

   The food was very good and the place overall was also a very good place to dine in. The drinks were delicious and the waiters were very attentive to everyone. Definitely a place that I would recommed to anyone.

   This was one of the worst meals I have had in ages. I was hopeful when we sat down. Cool looking place with black and white tile and skulls on the walls. The SERVICE was horrible in many ways: every one got their drinks Except for one, 2 of 3 appetizers came out, the reorder on drinks never happened, every time we wanted the waiter his back was to us with his face deep into the computer screen. Twice I had to get up from my start and walk over to him to ask for something. The forks and knives are in a bucket, help yourself style, we sat down with 6 people yet there were only 3 forks and 5 knives. We couldn’t get a waiter to pay attention to us so my son had to go search out forks from other tables. Pathetic. Main Courses: yuck, low quality meat. The beef enchiladas came with chunks of fat as did the chicken enchiladas. Inedible. I would never go back here and I would never recommend it to anyone. DON’T DO IT! I wish we had gone to the Cheesecake Factory, at least I could have eaten my food there.

   Service was very slow. We had to wait a long time for our appetizer as well as entrees. They forgot to serve 2 out of 5 sides. The menu is very limited and portions are small.

   As a lover of Mexican food, I wanted to love El Balon (I REALLY did). Unfortunately, my meal, the service, and overall experience were no bueno. In a nutshell: the quac was decent but I wasn't blown away; the shrimp tacos were yummy and (2) tacos I ordered were satisfying with an appetizer. The margaritas are well made but sadly this was the best part of my experience there. The waitstaff service definitely needs improvement. We had to ask the bus boy to clean up before we were seated (there were tortilla chip crumbs everywhere). The waiter didn't give us much attention until it was time to pay the check. Then of course, it was all smiles and pleasantries. Our 18% tip was generous in light of the poor service. In conclusion, I would give El Balon another try, perhaps for happy hour or a quick bite with friends. However, I wouldn't recommend it for dinner or celebrating a special occasion.

    We have visited this location multiple times but never for a birthday. The birthday song was warm and very friendly. It was a nice experience. The kids loved the foos ball table and we loved the Margaritas.
