   They said they do not honor Open Table reservations. We waited for our table then waited about 10 minutes for water service and menus. The food was not good. Like a cheap dive with poor food.

   We always can satisfy our cravings for Mexican food at El Abuelito's. It's been a favorite for years! They have an extensive menu. I really like their medium Mexican Margarita, made with fresh lime juice! My husband loves their special shrimp dishes. We always leave happy!

   This is a favorite Mexican restaurant to the locals in Jackson. The service is always great and fast! Friendly staff always greet you with a smile. Never disappointed with this place. We go here several times a month and have never had anything be bad. I take all my family and friends who come to visit to this restaurant and everyone raves about the food and service.

   Excellent Mexican food. Setting is small and not fancy. Server seemed put out that we had come in for dinner. Would try once more to see if service improved.

   I found a link to a neck chain in my food and gave it to the waiter. He did not comment nor did they adjust my bill. there was no one from the management that came to the table to address it with me. It may be he did not speak English well but he took the chain link and just smiled. I assumed he understood me. The food was good and prompt for a lunch meal.

    Located in heart of Jackson, 5min walk from town square on Broadway Restaurant recommendated by friends No waiting Waiter was rash and quick - we barely sat down and opened menus before he was ready for our order; appearing 7min later we thought we better order Ice tea plus lunch, all food arrived 15min later incl a soup which should have been brought out first The dishes were either too bland or too spicy The soup had excellent and succulent shredded chicken meat which swam in hot unspecified broth straight from the can accompanying by soggy nudles Finding waiter for our check proved nearly impossible The evening and night following was spent with numerous Tums Never again
