   A really great location with excellent food and loads of ambience. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff too!

   I would not recommend the Edinburgh Larder Bistro at all, in fact it was one of those occasions where I wished I had stayed at home and cooked! My brother's starter was a deep fried ewes cheese but it was not hot and not melted so basically a lump of cheese in a crumb case. Our mains, stuffed plaice with a spaghetti of vegetables, was not appetising at all - the spaghetti and vegetables dripping in oil, the plaice overcooked and falling apart. The service was great though, our waitress was lovely but we will not be going back and it definitely will not be joining our growing list of favourites in Edinburgh

   Excellent food with bags of flavour and fresh ingredients. Excellent sized portions that once finished left you feeling satisfied and looking forward to the next time we visit!!

   The food here is really good. Especially imaginative veggie options, which is rare.

   We were looking for a meal out while staying in Edinburgh, and wanted somewhere serving local fresh food with a good atmosphere. This restaurant was just right. It's a smaller restaurant than some but this made the experience all the better. The food was lovely and fresh and very tasty. Staff were friendly and attentive too.
