   We had a going away party for a friend. This was a lovely evening with very good food, excellent service. The rhubarb crisp excellent! We had a wonderful time.

   Eat well and enjoy your evening. The grilled pork chop was cooked perfectly, was super flavorful and just superb. Service was timely, friendly, and crisp.

   This was my first meal at Duners in well over a year. I used to eat at Duners sera times a month until the new owner took over. It was my favorite restaurant. The quality of the food slipped to a bit above mediocre when ownership changed. I returned last night as I heard one of the former chefs has returned. Overall, the meals the four in our part had were great. First and foremost, with menu prices running into the $40+ range, there is no excuse for serving chlorinated tapster. The scent and tase of the water negates and joy found in the carefully prepared food. yes, we bought bottled water. However, one should not have to incur addition expense to enjoy a meal without the disgusting taste of chlorine. Fix this! As always, the mussels were excellent. The fried oysters were soggy. Steak , fish and pork chops were delicious. The sauce on the duck was nearly flavorless. The polenta served with the fish bore no resemblance in taste or texture to any polenta i had ever seen. Other than these few complaints, it was a delicious meal and I will likely return. Again I make a plea. Please filter your tap water before serving. It is a simple thing to do and most of the good restaurants in Charlottesville do it!!!!!

    Great place for an evening in Charlottesville. Crab cakes excellent. Service was outstanding.
