   Our dinner at Dovetail was really outstanding! The food and service were exceptional! Our waiter, Caleb, was very friendly and very knowledgeable. His recommendations for food and drink were on point. We started with the house pickles and deviled eggs and both were excellent. We shared the house salad and scallops, and the scallops were cooked perfectly! We also shared the sea bass entrée and it was also cooked to perfection! And whoever made that romesco sauce has got it going on, lol!!! 😋 We highly recommend Dovetail: great food and great service. 👍

   Would go again, didn’t have ingredients for a majority of mocktails, permanently turned a friend off with alcohol entirely when the server suggested a non alcoholic beer. Should have known better. Especially After we stated to make a low abv cocktail. A Shirley temple with a quarter oz. Of vodka would have sufficed rather than a nonalcoholic ipa flavor beer. Food was phenomenal, however, expected more though with how the community talks up this place.

   Visited in Spring 2022 - Brought friends who had never dined at Dovetail before. Our server was excellent and the food relished by all. Putups are a must-do for the table (or the cheese board - can't go wrong with either). I love the scallops however they are prepared and this time was no exception.

   Charming, fun location, nicely decorated, great ambiance. Sound level permits comfortable conversation with no need to talk loudly or strain to hear. Interesting and unconventional menu, great for diners looking for something upscale and different. Some dishes are quite rich; if that's a potential issue for you, be aware of what you order in combination. Prices on the high side, though that fits with the aura this restaurant endeavors to project. Great to have a spot like this in Macon!
