   We recently visited to celebrate my nephew’s birthday. It had been years since I’d last been here, and while the food was absolutely fantastic—truly not a single complaint from anyone at our table—the overall experience left a bit to be desired. Our server seemed less than enthusiastic about being there. While they weren’t overtly rude, there was a clear lack of warmth or attentiveness that definitely affected the celebratory vibe we were hoping for. It felt like we were more of a burden than guests. We had a reservation, but when we arrived, the host asked us to wait because someone had just been sat in our section. It wasn’t a long wait, but it felt a bit odd given that we had booked ahead. The restaurant itself is also starting to show its age. A bit of a refresh could go a long way—especially if they’re trying to stay a go-to spot for celebrations or special occasions. The menus at the table were noticeably grimy, which definitely didn’t help the first impression. That said, I would return again for the food alone—it really was that good. But I’d skip it for a special occasion unless the service and atmosphere see some improvements.

   Not a great place for a quiet dinner. The food is very good, but the energy in the building did not encourage any lingering. We didn’t order immediately and were still out the door in less than an hour. Probably good for happy hour with coworkers or a large group get together, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for intimacy.

    There's no doubt that the Doolittle's wings rival any in the cities. My bro-in-law was in town and when I told him we needed to get wings for an appetizer, he reluctantly agreed, assuming I was ordering some knock-off breaded wings. But after he tasted them, he told us they were literally the best wings he had ever eaten! Gotta love it. We'll be back for the wings!
