One of my top three restaurants for dinner in Portsmouth. The sushi grade tuna is a must have, the best I have found. Staff has always been friendly. Relaxing dining room.

Sad. Food was good but not great. We were there for about an hour and half and were the only dinners in the entire restaurant. Kind of creepy.

Food quality did not match price point. The steak was clearly frozen and had not flavor what so ever. The lobster mac and cheese was disappointing and the variety of cheeses used didn't leave a pleasant flavor. Might have been an off night cause the place was empty but most likely wouldn't return.

We wanted a really good fish dinner and were thrilled that we chose this place. Our martinis were perfect and our seafood chowder was fantastic, full of fresh ingredients and spices in a perfect blend of cream and natural broth. A bowl with a salad could be a meal. The cup was generous and a wise choice when I saw the size of the haddock oscar, stuffed with delicious lump crab, all over perfectly grilled asparagus, a fabulous sauce, and with a lobster claw. We let the bar choice a glass of dry white wine and were delighted by his choice. We so wish this place were close to home as it would be frequented often. Given the culinary skilled shown with our choices there is clearly talent that would assure other item would be prepared equally well.

Dining out is an experience that should be positive, delicious and happy. The Dolphin Striker provides all that! Peter greeted us with a big welcoming smile and Ann, our server, was exceptional. We were visiting Portsmouth for the weekend, celebrating our 9-yr anniversary. We started with the PEI mussels as an appetizer, which blew us away! Ann provided us the extra bread for soaking up the heavenly broth. We both ordered the haddock, Dan the Oscar and me the Piccata. They did not disappoint. Dan says the Haddock Oscar was his favorite dish in Portsmouth! I wish I had a picture of the mussels. All in all, our experience at Dolphin Striker was memorable and exception. If we are ever in Portsmouth again, we will be dining at this restaurant again for sure. Thank you Peter and Ann!!! Dan & Annette

We had difficulty finding a restaurant in Portsmouth that would take a reservation for six on a Friday night. We found Dolphin Striker on Open Table. The food was surprisingly very good. We all had different entrees and everyone was happy. Would definitely return to Dolphin Striker.

Honestly, I don't know why there aren't more patrons. Fabulous meal, good portions and great service. I know Ptown has an abundance of restaurants, but the DS is one of the best values and we will be back aain and again!
