   Most amazing new restaurant in Houston! Had the tasing menu and everything was fantastic. The wagyu toast is a “can’t miss” for sure!! Staff was super. Will definitely head back asap!!

   High quality sushi, great service, comfortable booths for 2 at sushi bar. Great quality, great priced. Great vibe, perfect in between of casual & special occasion.

   Extremely loud! I had to pretty much yell the entire dinner just to talk to my family sitting across from me. This would have been a restaurant I would recommend but the noise was absolutely horrendous! We also had to wait 30 minutes for our table. Our reservation was at 7:45 and we were not sat at our table till 8:20. Our waiter Thien, saved the night. He was outstanding! He really was 100% on it and very energetic. He did a terrific job!!

   I am from Japan and visit all Japanese restaurants in Houston. Doko is rather fusion izakaya than Japanese restaurant. It is certainly not for the people expect high quality authentic Japanese food. Their menu is very limited, and the staple fishes are not available on their sushi menu such as amaebi, ikura, uni, hotate, suzuki, hirame, etc..., and sushi was super tiny, which is not at all how served in Japan, and ridiculously over price as many new fancy japanese restaurants in Houston. ovebut quality of fish was good. So iwhile t may be a fun place for the beginner's on Japanese foods, the experienced Japanese foodies will be disappointed because their names on the dishes are totally not what they should be. Their naming and description of each dishes are extremely confusing and not accurate, but the servers do not have any patience to explain them to the customers including the manager. So we are not going back.

   I had the chance to visit DOKO yesterday, and it’s definitely a hidden gem worth checking out! The restaurant is quite small — very intimate — but the cozy vibe adds to the experience. The Nigiri selection was outstanding, easily on par with top sushi spots like Uchiko and MF Sushi. Each piece was fresh, well-crafted, and packed with flavor. The rolls, however, could use a bit more depth and balance in flavor. That said, it’s a new spot, and I’m excited to see how the menu evolves with time. One thing I absolutely loved was the Doko Bar across the way — such a fun and creative concept to extend the experience. Definitely a must-try for sushi lovers, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this spot grows!

    Tried the tasting menu and it was amazing! I am not someone that normally likes fish but the nigiri was some of our favorite on the menu! It was so fresh and not fishy tasting whatsoever! I would recommend to everyone!
