   I think OpenTable is becoming Yelp. I heard about Dock Local in an email touting it as a great place for brunch. I can’t imagine it as a great place for brunch. There is no atmosphere and the food is pretty horrible. We got a bowl, a cup of bisque and shrimp tacos. The shrimp weren’t done and the sauce on the taco was jarring on the tastebuds. It didn’t even arrive at the table looking appealing. The bowl was more cavâtappi than anything else. The lobster in the bisque wasn’t chewable. The only redeeming item were the chips…a little greasy but very crisp. A very sad night at the dining table, and it makes me do a double-take when choosing a restaurant from OpenTable’s recommendations.

   Clean, bright, friendly, casual environment with waaaay better than “casual” seafood. If you’ve been jonesing for lobster, especially a lobster roll, this is definitely the place. Bonus: it’s one of the few places I’ve found that offers more than one style of roll all the time. Really, Dock Local’s lobster rolls are better than the ones I’ve had in both seafood market/restaurants and the more formal “wagyu & wine” places around town for much higher $$$. Id put it toe to toe w/any of them, any day. Every other item we ordered- lobster grilled cheese, lobster bisque, the homemade chips and crispy shoestrings- was done just perfectly. I’ll bet that no matter what you get, you won’t be sorry- and you’ll spend significantly less $$$. Psst also they have a 10% off Groupon ($36 for $40 worth) for now too….so go for it!

   First time! They greeted us at the door and were super helpful the whole time. We each got one of their rolls and they were all very tasty! We will for sure be going back.

   I am absolutely blown away with every single thing about this place!!! My friend even said she would drive at night through a storm with a tornado if it meant coming to eat here again all the way from south mansfield!! We came before a Stars game and we were able to walk right up to order. There were so many options on the menu so we tried a little of each! Everything we tried I would get again with no hesitation with both food and drinks. I personally love the cold rolls so I got one and split another one with a friend! My friends also got the warmed Connecticut roll and loved it! Pro tip ORDER THE PICKLES!!! We ended up getting 3 orders to go! As well as their version of elote and another round of sealed drinks. My mom doesn't like "swimy food" so she got the pacific bowl and was thrilled with the size and flavors of it, so there's something for everyone it seems like! I can't wait to come back and try even more!
