We were seated at a two top table right next to the kitchen & the door to the hotel lobby. It was very, very loud. We could barely hear each other and our table was extremely close to others, so no conversation could have been private or intimate anyways. While the server was polite, he was neither personable or overbearing. He didn’t offer us any insight into the menu other than it was new. My husband had one cocktail and I had one glass of wine. We ordered a bread appetizer & we each had an entree. Mine was subpar at best. The meal was over $200. For that price, I would have expected something memorable or delicious. This experience was neither of those things.

We had a rough start, but we managed to make it through. We waited almost 20 minutes for a Sprite, and there was some miscommunication along the way. However, the staff quickly rectified the situation and worked efficiently. The food was absolutely amazing! The French toast was to die for, and the biscuits and gravy were absolutely wonderful. The manager also deserves a special mention. His call to action this morning was exceptional, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was actually the owner. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place. This place definitely cooks with a lot of love!!!

A convenient location and luxurious real estate aren't enough to have me return to Dirty Habit. First, one must way their way through the overly scented hotel lobby. It's an unwelcome trend in luxury hotels for those with sensitive noses. Perhaps it's a way to keep guests from lingering and propel them out into the city or the hotel bar to spend their money. Service at the restaurant was attentive and kind. Our waiter or other staff always kept close by, and it always seemed not long after the thought crossed our mind to get their attention, someone helpfully availed themselves. We conversed through different cocktail options, which spared me from what might have been worse decisions than the ones I made. Don't stray far from the bar's classic cocktails. The Old Fashioned proved among the best I've drank, ushering my palate through constantly transforming and complex flavors of bite, sweet, savory, sweet again - sheer delight! But the more experimental Nutter Butter and Becky Harris drinks were distinct misses, tasting respectively of fruity bile and Sunny D. Not exactly the kind of childhood memories one wants to evoke at $20 a glass. While the burger was quite suitable and readily adapted to my diet, the sprouts' well-roasted texture succumbed to the bounteous balsamic vinegar, and the fries' crispiness steamed away too soon in their cloistered pail. The room perceptively darkened with the evening hour's approach and the increasingly dimmed lights. While it makes for intimate conversation, it's hard to enjoy food and drink unseen. Then again, I don't plan on seeing the bottom of another glass here anytime soon.

Dirty Habit is in the Hotel Monaco, where we've been staying the last few days. We've been there for breakfast the last few days and the food has been excellent and the service outstanding. Today was Sunday brunch, with a DJ who was spinning loudly. The staff put us in a side room of the restaurant where the music wasn't as pervasive.

The food was very good. We ordered from the special Cherry Blossom pre-set menu. The Salad was amazing! We also loved the short ribs. I had the Apple & mezcal drink, can't recall the name, and my friends both enjoyed House of Slytherin. We had churros, which were a little too crunchy for me, the plantain cake which was decent, and the sorbet which was tasty. I did not like that I had to leave the restaurant, and go to the 3rd floor of the hotel to use the rest room though. It was a little strange.
