   We arrived at6:50 and was told the dining room was closed. They said we can sit outside around the pool. They did not care

   There is a reason this place was dead on a Saturday night. On the positive side, the entry way to the restaurant and the hotel lobby is elegant/modern. And the branzino was a full double filet and was delicious. However, on the negative side, our waiter ended his shift immediately after taking our order, never to return, even though the restaurant had no more than 8 other people. They were "out" of Greek salad, which is what my wife wanted. The guacamole had spicy dried chick peas interspersed in the middle, which was bizarre. The lamb ragu pasta was OK, but mildly flavorless and needed more spice. All of that was tolerable, until we received our check-----which had two numbers on it: a total of the items we ordered and then another number that was $46 higher, with no explanation. When they finally regenerated a more explanatory bill, it then included tax, 20% gratuity (for average service by two separate wait staff), and then a $6+ "admin fee" (roughly an additional 3% charge) that is neither mentioned or explained anywhere. I don't mind paying for health insurance for kitchen staff, but at least warn me on the menu that it's coming and at least explain what the charge is for other than "admin fee". At my office, "admin" means supplies for the copier or bookkeeping. Anyway, I was underimpressed. We passed on dessert due to the average service and won't be back.

   Food is delicious. Try the salmon. A little pricey but not too bad.

   The restaurant and bar it was completely vacant when we got there, which made me feel like maybe we didn’t know something. The food was good but the pasta was cold by the time we received it and I didn’t eat it nor did my date. Although he commented, the pizza was good.

   Confusion - There appears to be more than one area to eat at this hotel. Yet the restaurant pictured is not called the Courtyard Terrace and was not open on the night of our reservation. The main bar is off the lobby, this the other area, was not called the Courtyard Terrace either. The staff seemed a little confused about both the name and the fact they were accepting reservations. Regardless, the bar guys supplied us with delightful cocktails and fun eats on the interior courtyard.

   Great restaurant! Definitely a crowd pleaser. I brought my parents while they were in town but I have also had a business dinner here. Great food and fantastic service. The pastas are fabulous! Special thank you to Viale dei Romano for staying open during in the COVID madness. Wish you the best. Also love the inside bar.

   Great quality Italian food. The pizza, the salads and the Branzino were superb.
