   Hello, This restaurant has the most tasty, best food on the island. I have eaten everywhere and Derriere beats all. However, it is the most noisy restaurant on the island and nowhere to sit for some solitude. Because of this, we almost left, and will not go there again. If they have takeout - great, otherwise that's it!!!

   Hello Victor, we are very very happy that you enjoyed our food!!!! Regarding the noise level we are actively working to solve it to allow our guests enjoy the experience more, but we're definitely a high energy place in the evenings, we invite you to visit us for breakfast or dinner when the ambience is definitely quiter and more relaxed. thanks!

   Third time dining at Derriere since opening and have to report it wasn't as good an experience as previous two. We had problems with the noise level where we sat on the second occasion but that wasn't the issue last night. It was so lacking in any personal touches. Service was brisk,even hectic. Food came before we had even our aperitif at our table. We arrived early to have a drink! Getting our drinks subsequently was slow. Food was put down in front of you and waiter walked off. Hard to get attention, if needed, for some mustard for example. No one came to ask how the food was or if we needed anything more. The food was tasty if a little expensive. My glass of wine choice is between 5-7 BdS cheaper a glass at other west coast restaurants. Our server tried to clear my plate twice before I had finished! Overall we were disappointed last night, we felt like we didn't matter. Think it's better to go with a group-.. get more attention. It matters where you sit too. You can be too near the bar when it's busy and people are standing up against your chair. I'm being honest. It is a great venue, a refreshing newcomer to the dining scene.
