Veteran James Beard Award Winning New York City Restaurateur Chris Cannon (Marea, Alto, Convivio, Osteria Morini) opened Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen, his convivial, multi-concept restaurant, bar and event space in Morristown, New Jersey in October of 2014.

Located at the historic Vail Mansion, Cannon’s JHBK is composed of four distinct spaces, each with a unique food and beverage element. With inspiration stemming from the property’s elegance and unique history, the mansion houses a collection of contemporary artwork, many of which were commissioned exclusively for the project.

    Everything was amazing, but I was disappointed that they didn’t acknowledge my 50th birthday and my daughter’s 15th birthday, after being told about the occasions. The food and beverages never disappoint.

    The seats were completely destroyed and torn apart. We were seated in a room to the side. Not the main dining room. The music was very loud and not appropriate for Easter brunch.

    We went with family for the Easter prix fixe dinner, and everybody was delighted with their food. We were seated in the Oyster Bar, which was perfect for us since we had some older people for whom the stairs would have been tough. It's a comfortable, light-filled space, maybe slightly on the loud side but since we are a gregarious bunch that was ok with us. We ordered a wide variety of the selections off the menu and every single dish was delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and on top of things despite being busy. This is not an inexpensive restaurant but you definitely get your money's worth. My mom has already decreed we're going back for her birthday.

    Great location in Morristown. Beautiful room for dinner. The food was pretty good but the service was lacking.

    Always a good experience at Jockey Hollow! Great oysters. Mahi yummy but tiny. Sauce for it arrived when I was nearly finished. Drinks amazing. Fries are the best around.
