Dakar NOLA is a modern Senegalese tasting menu restaurant. The menu is inspired by Chef Serigne Mbaye’s most cherished memories of his childhood in Dakar, Senegal.
Dinner at Dakar NOLA features a pescatarian tasting menu with some dishes served family-style.
We are a reservations only concept open Tuesday through Saturday and our dinner experience lasts 2.5 hours.
Our menu changes often and is mostly dairy and gluten-free.
Reservations are open 42 days at a time with a new period opening at 10 am central time.
We are unable to accommodate the following allergies: Fin fish, soy, shellfish aroma/fumes, allium, honey
**We can accommodate shellfish allergy and peanut if noted in the reservation.
We can NOT accommodate a Vegan diet or a vegetarian that does not eat food cooked in seafood broth.
We are able to accommodate a gluten intolerance/allergy
In order to minimize disruptions to the kitchen, late arrivals will be served the current course being served

Step into the jewel box restaurant for a memorable evening, where some of the dishes are served family-style and where you'll learn about the history of the food and drinks in front of you. Expect a welcome tea, before diving into the seasonal seven-course menu that might include Gulf shrimp and smoky jollof rice.

This was my 2nd time visiting Dakar and it’s always a thoughtful and intentional menu! They were super accommodating to us with having special dietary and physical needs/restrictions and sought to understand what the need was while creating a plan to solve it. The combination of flavors and homage to New Orleans cuisine culture while keeping the essence of the Senegalese tradition is what makes this an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend to all!

Small plate tasting menu but felt nice and satisfied at the end. Very interesting blend of Senegalese and southern U.S. and Louisiana cuisine helping to show some of the West African influence in American cooking. Great flavors, creative takes on classic dishes, and wonderful service. It was also a nicely spaced-out meal over about 2 hours so we never felt rushed.

From the moment you sit down, well before the exquisite food arrives, Dakar lets you know it's going to be a special experience. Outstanding service with special attention to each guest is only surpassed by the inventive, perfectly balanced, and beautifully plated courses.

This is a special restaurant. The food was amazing and there was an exquisite attention to detail that brought everything together. Every course exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks were well crafted. Looking forward to dining again.

Incredible food. Beautifully presented and explained and delicious. Chef came out to chat. All servers are knowledgeable on the dishes and the ingredients. We sat at a communal table and met a wonderful couple. It was an unforgettable evening!
