   Current had to be moved during the Marriott's outdoor construction project so the one star for ambiance is out of their control. The food, however, not worth the cost (breakfast sandwich).

   Since the hotel is under renovation it is hard to give a real fair review. There is limited indoor seating so we opted for outside. Cold evening, but they had plenty of fire pits and heaters. Our server, Oscar, was wonderful and we both had great meals. I'm sure indoors will be much nicer once the renovation is complete.

   Under construction No functioning breakfast area, apparently!! They emptied an actual guest room and sat us there! Breakfast Buffet was in the hallway... This was not listed on the website when I made a reservation!!

   Thanksgiving buffet was delicious. Fresh oysters were great. All dishes were nicely presented and the line was replenished quickly. The guys at the carving station were very hospitable. I had not expected the food to be as good as it was in a buffet. Management was all over the place tidying up tables and assisting a very hard working serving staff.

   The atmosphere was nice, I was expecting more of a water/ nautical decor based on the name . Regular hotel restaurant, the view will be nice when they are done with construction. The menu offerings were great, a little different, several seafood options. My only complaint is that my 88 year old mother was served her coconut rice bowl with an extremely spicy pepper in it, that wasn’t supposed to be in the dish. Her mouth was on fire for 20 mins, not the birthday lunch we had hoped to give her. They gave us a small discount to compensate, the server was very apologetic. They did bring out a very delicious slice of chocolate cake, with “Happy Birthday” written in frosting, on the rim of the plate.

   We'll never go back there. Premium priced dinner menu. I ordered a steak and Cesar salad, my spouse ordered scallops. Steak was small but prepared ok. Cesar salad was an unappealing bowl of yellow lettuce core with tiny amount of cheap salad dressing. The 3 scallops were small and served on a bed of what appeared to be canned lentils(?) - not even close to the menu description. Bar drinks were ok... When we complained to the manager, they offered to comp us with free deserts which we declined...

   A little expensive but the food is delicious, the view pleasant and the service exceptional! Loved the outdoor seating area overlooking the harbor.

    Drove down from Long Beach to have brunch with a friend. Totally worth the hour and 45 minute drive. Have eaten at another "famous" restaurant for weekend brunch, but this far surpasses that one. Food was great, waiter was wonderful, very attentive. The view was fabulous, and had some interactions with some very entertaining ducks. Highly recommend Current and commend them on a great job!
