Just outside the trendy hustle and bustle of Downtown Laguna Beach is the friendly Coyote Grill. We are a very casual "locals" spot and have been serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily since 1989. Coyote Grill was a modest little shack opened by Kim Bryant. He worked tireless hours in the kitchen for years, cooking food from the place that he loved visiting, Baja Mexico. After many renovations and building a great loyal staff, it is now known for its tranquil views, addictive Baja-Style Mexican food, and satisfying margaritas & bloody marys. Coyote Grill has been recognized on Rachel Ray’s“$40 A Day” from the Food Network and “Snacks on the Beach” from the Travel Channel. Our food is prepared fresh by hand everyday. Many of our customers enjoy our homemade margaritas and grilled fish tacos on the patio by day while enjoying the Catalina Island views. By night, feast on fresh local lobster dinner by the fireplace.

We had an early lunch. We started at the bar and moved to a seat by the edge with a great view. Good was wonderful. I had the veggie burrito and my friend had oyster shot (super cool) and an enchilada. All yummy.

bar was packed and the Clint tell was not what we where looking for. It is a bar for locals not for business or a nice dinner. Will never go back.

Nice location on the bluff overlooking the beach. Food was iffy. The Good: The ceviche was very well made and tasty and the cheese enchilada was delicious. The Bad: We sent two of our four meals back - we saw a number of other tables do the same. The cook only has one seasoning and over uses it on everything. The blackened ahi appetizer and ahi salad had sliced fish that was coated in a mexican dry spice that was so overpowering (not too spicy, just too much seasoning) as to make the fish inedible.

Our table had tacos - fish tacos, shrimp tacos, langostino tacos and carnitas tacos. Each was better than the next. Great place for casual lunch or dinner!
