We have been to this restaurant many many times. Great food great service. This time was different. We made an open table reservation, got there, it was dark and a girl opens the door and says it is "Closed for Good"

Waitress was extremely inattentive to. She did not offer us a choice with our menu items. We had to ask another server to assist us with our meal. The menu offered ceviche made with crab meat and when it was brought it, it was made with imitation crab. It took a long time to have our order taken and the waitress was a bit abrasive. The entree was delicious, however all the other negatives of this place outweigh the one positive. Will not be returning.

Our food was wonderful, the service attentive and well-informed, and the setting lovely... until the monsoon with lightning hit. We moved under shelter and the staff welcomed us to stay as long as we needed — they’d closed the restaurant to new diners. Their grace and sense of humor made the evening even more memorable!

Excellent “Fire” cocktail and fundido to start. My daughter and I shared the La taquiza #1:four tacos of your choice (we picked a Ropa Vieja taco each, one fish and one carnitas. Very flavorful on good, fresh homemade corn tortillas that did not get soggy. It comes with 2half elote pieces- Sweet, crunchy, with good salty spiced coating; and one chicken tamale. The tamale was a bit too well done. A little hard for my taste. We finished with churros.4 thin crisp tubes with chocolate and raspberry dipping sauces. Very heavy cinnamon coating. Mixed reactions from the table. I will definitely go back for drinks and dinner!

We ordered the chorizo appetizer and steak tacos (Ye something..). First, the chorizo appetizer was all cheese. Not much chorizo. The steak tacos were supposed to have poblano peppers and carmelized onions. I don’t know if the chef knows what carmelized onions are. Our tacos were filled with some dried up steak and chopped raw white onion. No accompaniments on plate. Nothing. No sour cream, no tomatoe, nothing. We also ordered a side of rice, which was just some red rice in a bowl, nothing to write home about. In general, this food was all sub-standard. We will not consider a second trip. Who are you hiring to cook, Coyote Cantina???? My Mexican looks better than your food, and I am Italian.... shame on you.

They called us the night before the reservation to tell us it was being cancelled because of a Cinco de Mayo party in a tent outside. The dining room was going to be closed that day. We had placed the reservation on Tuesday but they waited until after 6pm on Friday to say that they would not honor the reservation.
