About this restaurant

Romantic

You can't beat a good burger, and a good burger is what we are here to do. It's about time Dorchester had a specialist burger restaurant, so here we are. We've taken a lot of care in every aspect of burger production. for this reason, we've looked and found a farm who we think have the best meat possible.

They take the utmost care for their animals. They're raised slowly, free to roam the fields and mostly eat grass. This is what makes all the difference. The farm although not officially accredited as organic, their practices and methodology in many cases are all about beyond organic.

The mince is prepared to our own recipe using specific cuts picked for maximum flavour and texture. It is then delivered to us ready for our patties that are hand shaped ready for service. We found a brioche bun which has a good shape and not too sweet. Our fresh ingredients are prepared daily and we've got some tasty sauces to enhance the flavours.

Burgers

Our burgers come from happy red ruby cows that roam free range on hills in the South West. They only eat grass, and grow to a decent age. Our farmer peter takes a lot of care to provide us with mince to our exact requirements. The farm uses techniques that go beyond the organic label (ask a member of staff). It's dry aged for four weeks before being sent to us. We then simply hand shape the burgers & cook them fresh to order so please anticipate a short wait. Gluten free buns are available with all of our burgers £0.60 supplement. Lighten up! All of our burgers are available without the bun. Just ask your server & we'll change it for a salad. Unfortunately the Cow and Apple Dorchester was not up to the same standard as the one in Yeovil. Service was good but the milkshakes were not thick and quite watery. My burger had lots of tiny bits of bone in it which was very off putting. They also didn’t seem to have our booking and were surprised when I said we’d booked a table. Luckily they were almost empty so no problem getting a table!
