   Once again, the Prix Fixe meal on Wednesdays was a winner, shrimp app was fresh and delicious, the duck croquettes with tomato jam were perfect, pork chop Pastor tender and perfectly cooked, sea bass was melt in your mouth, all this followed with a smooth chocolate mouse. Each weeks menus are a delight and different.

   Park belly Bao was crispy and tasty, everything else was at the standard of awesome. The Covey is starting to serve a regular menu Thursday-Saturday (0r Sunday) looking forward to trying that. Still headed to Wednesday Prix Fixe tho.

   The weekly Wednesday Night “Love Thy Neighbor” Prix Fixe ever-changing menu is so wonderful! Chef G dazzles with delectable, inspired creations! A must try, like every Wednesday!

   An anniversary dinner for the books! So cozy and inviting. The food and drinks were a real treat. Great staff.

   Wednesday eve at the Covey, what a treat. Awesome menu different every week with plenty of taste treats. we are so enjoying this. The Chef has a firm hand with the flavor profile and we are so happy be the recipients of his expertise.

   Overall experience was outstanding and exceeded our expectations. We dined on a Wednesday night and the restaurant offers a preset menu of three choices. My wife had grilled lamb chops and I had braise short ribs and they were both delicious. The meal included salad and dessert and they were wonderful. Service was excellent. Good value for $60.00, each. Highly recommend!

   The Covey is nestled in Quail Lodge with views of mountains, ponds and a golf course. A small dining room with fireplace, open seating with a view of the pond or cozy tables with a couch type feel and pillows greet you. The staff has been around for many years and is very accommodating. The menu is ever changing depending upon local fare, fish and beef. I enjoyed a scallops appetizer and a whole Branzino fish cooked to perfection. Most enjoyable evening if you like more quiet and not the Ocean Avenue Biz.

    We have become major fans of Chef Basarov. Under his regime, I firmly believe that the Covey Grill may have become the top of the "haute cuisine" chart for the entire Monterey Bay Area. Each and every item we have ordered from his menu has been superb--not just in presentation, but in the surprising explosion of tastes in the mouth. In turn, the service is excellent--every time is a happy event, a badly needed escape during these troubling times.
