   I thought that the meals we had were pretty good value for money . Friendly staff , & a nice atmosphere enhanced the evening . Enjoyed the occasion .

   This was a last minute booking so we were pleased to get a table. The group was myself, my husband and our two grandsons who eat as adults. The staff were very nice and friendly and the food was good. However the service was extremely poor. It took forever to get drinks and no-one came back to ask us if we wanted more - we had to call a waitress. The wait for the food was even longer. We were seated at 6.15 and received our starters after 45 minutes. The main course took another 45 minutes. We didn't order desserts as we just couldn't face another long wait. We won't go back.

   Ordered meal at approx 1820 hrs - had an event to attend - food eventually came at 1900 hrs. We were on the point of can calling - no reflection on waiting staff but service was disappointing due to the length of wait for food.

   My daughter had bought a groupon voucher for me and my mum for mother's day. It was the steak dinner and wine for two. It was absolutely amazing. The steak was done to a t. We also had dessert which was delicious. The service was good and atmosphere was good. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.

   I was disappointed as I had booked a table for me and my mum on mother’s day, our table was booked at 5pm therefore that was the time we arrived, once seated we ordered our drinks and food at the same time, our food was ordered off a set menu and we both just ordered main meals, we didn’t receive our food until 6.30 just over an hour after we had ordered which I felt was way too long as did my mum, the table behind us had been in since 4.15 and they got serverd AFTER us! And again they had picked off the set menu, they had 2 kids with them that by this point we’re hungry bored and restless, the food was good but hard to enjoy after waiting that lengh of time and the atmosphere not being idea as a lot were complaining about the lengh of time for food to arrive

   We were greeted promptly and shown to our table. Our first course arrived about 10- 15 minutes after ordering but there was far too long a wait for our main meal - approximately 40 minutes. We both ordered a roast. Both the beef roast and the gammon were lukewarm. It was a disappointmenting experience altogether.

    We had previously visited in November using a Groupon voucher for steak dinner for 2 with wine and on that occasion, couldn't find fault, our dining experience was so good, we decided to buy another Groupon voucher for future use. Upon visiting again yesterday, we felt like it was in dire contrast in comparison to our previous visit. Altho there was only 2 other diners in the premises, there was a distinct lack of attention and interest in us. On our previous visit, we were greeted by a vivacious, friendly and warm blonde lady who made us feel welcome and valued. Yesterday, the greeting was very flat and lacking warmth, flat tone of voice and not at all friendly or approachable. This continued throughout our time there. The soup as always was delicious and piping hot butwhen it came to the steak meals, it was a mis-steak!!!! Extremely disappointing quality and served at a cool temperature on cold plates. The mushroom was freezing cold and mushy, the steak was luke warm, fortunately the chips were hot but had a strange taste of old oil. The steaks were of poor quality also, very thin and fatty. I mentioned to the young guy when he came to take our plates that it wasn't a pleasurable experience and he apologized, although it's not his fault. After yesterday, I'm unsure if I want to return in the future, it was a very offputting experience and we were disappointed especially after the excellent experience back in November.
