Wonderful service. Food was meh. I had salmon; cooked properly but too much butter in sauce. Only 4 asparagus stalks with too much risotto. Friend had a burger which was fine. Desserts were ok. Fried wanton banana with ice cream sounded better than it was. Too breaded. Seems like the restaurant is in search of its character. Is it basic American fare -- burgers and wraps, or something more -- salmon, steak, fancy dessert?

I really enjoyed my Sunday brunch there. The service was excellent. The drinks were fabulous and my breakfast pork chops and eggs was exquisite. It is a fabulously read decorated Historic hotel. I highly recommend!!!

The restaurant is in a hotel, in an open area near the reception desk. We had a reservation for 6:30 pm, and the only person in the restaurant area was the cleaning lady. A man came over from the Lounge just behind reception. He offered us a choice of seating in the lounge or in the restaurant, and when asked, said we'd probably be more comfortable eating in the restaurant. We were the only diners until dessert time; then the place started filling up. In spite of the fact that he had to run back and forth between the lounge and us, the server was fabulous. He brought us things promptly, checked on us often, and made us feel very welcome. The food was excellent. We ordered from the Pasadena Restaurant Week menu, but all the items are on the regular menu as well. The Duck Spring Rolls are amazing! I'm not usually fond of duck, but these were succulent and tasty - all thinly sliced duck inside a spring roll wrap. The branzino came with mashed potatoes and spinach. Not exactly sure what they did with the spinach - it was kind of wilted and flash fried at the same time, but it was delicious - and I don't normally like spinach. The Passion Fruit & Coconut Mousse was very tasty, but they had a number of other desserts on the regular menu, and I'll try them next time. I definitely want to go back and try some more of their delicious food. But I'd probably go later in the evening, maybe 7:30 or so.

We had reservations. Arrived on time with two couples ahead of us in line. It took almost ten minutes to be seated - in the bar. Our order was taken some 20 or so minutes later. The bar tender came over to find out if we had a waiter. After ordering the food arrived about 45 minutes later. By that time the couple that had been seated just before us had finished dinner and a coupe seated after us were mid-dining. My vegetable was so salty I couldn't eat it. I told the waiter and he said "sorry." My entre was also salty but not inedible. My husband said his food (bouillabaisse) was delicious. They did serve warm bread, which is a rare treat these days. Had my food been just ok I would have seen this as a very good deal for the lovely atmosphere and modest prices. The biggest plus was that there was no piped in music and conversation was easy.

I needed to meet for a business lunch and choose this restaurant so I could try one of Claud's places. Being a Monday, it was very quiet. I had the Cobb salad and it was great. The service was wonderful and the chairs comfortable. Enjoy yourself.

The place was completely empty at 8 and no wonder it was a 1000 point dinner. Had appetizer and left and probably won't go back
