   Our visit was very pleasant. The food was delicious from the sandwiches to the scrumptious scones! The tea was hot and wonderful. Only the service was slow but otherwise we had a great visit and will be back

   I booked this weeks in advance, received reminders and messages to confirm also, yet when I got there was told “open table has been messing up”, they didn’t have ya on the schedule. Nothing was explained about, food was subpar, parking is basically non existent.

   Communitea really is a hidden gem! Great food, good service, and the BEST scones! I highly recommend, but I'd make a reservation first.

   We enjoyed our high tea very much because of the delicious food and cosy authentic atmosphere. Like stepping back in time.

   Our experience at Communitea was mediocre. It was our first time there, but none of the staff explained anything about the cafe to us. I had purchased 3 Group On coupons--one for each of two friends and one for myself. The coupon included a pot of tea and a scone. Our intention was to use the coupons and purchase a small salad or soup or something to our lunches. However, I was immediately told we could not use 3 coupons in one visit at our table. This did not seem to be clear at all in the Groupon ad, nor was it clear on the coupon. My friends suggested that I use the coupon for my lunch--which the "host" seemed ok with, but it defeated the "gifts" for my friends. Service was VERY slow, and the "host" was distant and not very helpful at all. The salad I purchased was supposed to have "candied" walnuts, but the walnuts were simply, walnuts. The salad was not as pictured on the menu, it was smaller. At one point, the host asked who had the "small" salad--we were not aware there were 2 sizes. The room itself was pleasant, relaxing, but we did not feel welcomed and, since none of us was impressed enough to make the 25 min drive to return there, the extra two coupons I purchased will not be used. Sorry, but some warmth from the host would have gone a VERY long way. Unfortunately, I was left feeling like I insulted her by buying 3 coupons and inviting 2 friends to try this new experience. We will look elsewhere for a girls lunch after this.

   The idea of this place is very cute. The atmosphere is adorable. And there's really not a whole lot like it in the area. However, the service was abysmal. I said multiple times we had never been to the place and they never explained anything. I ordered high tea which was fine but had to ask multiple questions to understand any part of it. We waited forever to receive our tea. And then about another 30 minutes in between pots because the server kept forgetting. We did receive a $5 discount, but I would not tell somebody to go here oh, because the service was very lackluster and the food was just so-so. I'm glad to say have experience to tea room but that is my take away.

   This little cafe is quaint. Very personalized service. Enjoyable meal, great dining experience.

   Original reservation was for 2, but unfortunately I was the only one that could make it. At entrance no one greeted me and I had no idea where to go. Once I got someone’s attention (which I think was the owner), she lead me into the eating area and instead of seating me at the table by the window that was available and where she was leading me to, she must have thought that was too nice of a spot for a solo diner, so she asked a couple who was already settled at their table to move to the table by the window. She then continued with a very cold attitude for the rest of the service. She didn’t explain any of the foods brought to the table, like she did for every other person in the room. She also then charged me for 2 afternoon teas when clearly there was only 1 diner. It was a disappointing experience and the food had a stale cover to it, as if it had been prepared and not stored appropriately for the entire day.

    Enjoyable experience. We had preordered a gluten free high tea, and everything was delicious including the gluten free scones with authentic clotted cream and scrumptious raspberry jam. My daughter and I had fun picking out our individual tea pots and choosing our teas (decaf). Friendly atmosphere and quaint, but pretty decor and color schemes. I plan to go again.
