COMMUNION is a place where you feel seen. A place that feels like comfort, rest, relief, and peace. Our mission is to provide the food, the familiarity, and the intimacy that make you feel at home.

Chef Kristi Brown has spooned her way through the culinary industry for the past 28 years. Starting at a small café in downtown Seattle, Kristi has done just about everything from dishwasher/prep cook to running her own catering business for nearly a decade. From the beginning, her vision was to focus on the art and experience of food through culinary activism. A purpose powered by her mantra, “Everybody’s Gotta Eat!” Chef Kristi desires to build community through the cultivation of fresh food and fine cooking.

    Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Noise level was unnecessarily loud and definitely diminished our enjoyment of this establishment. Do you really need to play the music so loudly? When we kindly requested that the music be turned down, we were met with an indifferent and very annoying, "well, maybe, but only a little bit." Not sure if I will go back.

    Communion still continues to be one of the jewels of Seattle's food scene. Service was amazing, the food was beautiful and delicious. I love the restaurant. It is worth the visit, get your reservations early.

    The service and ambience were AMAZING. The server was so helpful and acted as if he truly appreciated our coming to their restaurant. The food was unique and delicious. Price point was a bit high but everything is these days. We will definitely go back!

    1st time here . Ambiience , fire tables for outside seating was good. Very crowded on fridays. Music too loud in the sense that you can’t enjoy the song , and definitely can’t have a good conversation without talking over the music. Didn’t get the Mac/cheese I ordered but it’s ok, I saved the room for desert bread pudding was good, I feel like the online menu was more broad and selective compared to menu given. Ended up sitting at bar not ideal for me but worked out better for conversation due to music .

    This is a place I have been looking forward to visiting. Sadly, I was not impressed. Service was perfunctory, even for a birthday. Drinks were very good, but it's seattle, so overpriced. Out of 3 dishes, one was excellent, one was cold, one was bland. I thought there would be warmth with a place called "communion". There was not. We were seated at the bar even though I made the reservation months ago and tables that were empty when we arrived were still empty when we left. Not a great experience.

    Food and drinks were great! The collard greens with smoked turkey should be mandatory for all seattlites! Christine was such a great sever! . Can’t wait to come back and order the rest of the menu!!!!
