When we arrived, they could not find our reservation which was made through Open Table. We were told that since last 3 months they are not working with Open Table. We were surprised but told that we are the second customer today made reservation by Open table. We were told that we have to wait 45 minutes. We have waited and ate our meal. Could you tell me truth who is correct., Open Table or Clay Pit?

One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Always good food, good service. I always request to eat in the old wine cellar downstairs or the front room. Both rooms offer a quieter more quaint atmosphere.

Although we had reservations, we were asked to sit and wait. It was just 2 of us. We watched as large groups were seating, including smaller groups that arrived after we did. We asked for a status and was told we would get a table in the cellar as soon as it was cleared. Then, they seated us upstairs. We asked why, then, we were taken in the cellar where a few empty tables sat. The service and food was good once we sat down.
