   Beautiful restaurant, delicious food, impecable service by Roberto. Highly recommend. My second visit, can't wait to go back.

   Muy bonito lugar, hubiera sido perfecto pero la persona encargada de servirnos el agua de llegada nos aventó los porta vasos y de muy mala gana sirvió el sparking water, nuestra mesera fue muy amable y todos los chicos de Expo que nos llevaron uno a uno los platos, creo solo eso me hubiera gustado llegaran todos al mismo tiempo, pero en general estuvo bien

   We had a poor experience at Chotto Matte. Firstly, the noise level was so high, despite asking the server to turn it down , that we could not hear each other at the table. The server herself could not hear us to take our orders. Secondly, the plates just kept coming out and no one told us what they were, nor did they provide serving spoons. Even my birthday cake did not come with plates or a serving spoon. Overall, it was rushed, our server was not engaged. The food was OK but not great. I had been there the previous summer ( August 2024) and the food was great so I was anxious to go back. But last night it was a party scene with lots of chaos and it was really not enjoyable. Everyone was taking selfies at their table and partying, which is great, but Chotto turned into a bar/club versus an actual restaurant. I wish they could do better.

   Absolutely amazing appearance, been wanting to try for a while now. Ask for Undral she made the experience amazing for us. Definitely get the waygu and the Toro sashimi but be warned expect to shell out an awful lot. I eat out a few times a week and even this bill surprised me. Only thing I might recommend is disclosing that the Tap water was $14. Yes that’s right $14 for our water.

   Love this place, but the ‘wow’ factor has definitely changed. Our food was late, the server needed more support and some of my favorite dishes changed and/or removed from the menu.

   Excellent service, nice location and good value for the lunch menus. Really enjoyed our lunch and it is nice to go back to Chotto Matte.

    We did not have a good experience for me beginning at the time when I attempted to order a drink for the female bartender who had lots of attitude (which I am not sure why because we at a 6PM dinner reservation) and the bar and restaurant was relatively empty. We had a pretty good waiter who my friend requested because he had been at the CM several times. Things were going smoothly during the initial part of the dinner. Our wines were decanted nicely and the appetizers and sushi came out from the kitchen very timely. However, that’s when things took an unexpected twist which resulted in more than an hour wait for the entrees… at this point I was done and ready to leave. The waiter was still very polite but should have alerted us as to what was happening with the kitchen and their internal ordering process. A couple of my friends spoke with the Manager and he endeavored to apologize for the inconvenience then offer a glass of wine… As I mentioned earlier, we were basically done and there was not much that was going to change that due to the lengthy and lack of communication. I personally will not be back… There are too many wonderful places to dine in SF where you would never experience this lack of attention and communication at these prices. We spent over $300 per person on just food…Crazy!!!!!!
