   They did not have the preferred choice on the menu and then the 2nd option, the steak was OK, but not as good as other steak restaurants I have been to

   The ambiance is great, service was excellent, very attentive and made great suggestions. The food was very good. My steak was cooked perfectly. I’ll go back again.

   What a great time at Chop Restaurant (181 University Ave., Toronto) What a beautiful restaurant! The decor, lighting, ambiance was perfect. NADINE was our server and she made our dinner even better than we could imagine. She went above and beyond, catering to us perfectly, giving us suggestions on drinks/menu items and we truly appreciated her excellent customer service and beautiful personality. And if you’re wondering… YES! the food was amazing! We ordered the fresh baked community bread with yummy whipped butter and the French onion soup for apps, and the delicious ribeye steak main entrees. My mouth is watering just talking about that wonderfully cooked steak. We topped everything off with the delicious dessert… the sticky toffee pudding which was TOO DIE FOR and the dessert trio. Yum! We will definitely be back! Thank you Nadine and staff. 👏🏼💖

   Very disappointed with the food. The 3 guests who ordered Steaks complained they were chewy, and not outstanding in any way. (...we have had much better at The Keg). My husband's was overcooked. The baked potatoes were barely warm (...like leftover potatoes that had been microwaved). And the Cod I ordered was a little rubbery and fishy tasting. We arrived for an early dinner at 4:45 pm, and were basically the only customers in the restaurant. Not sure what was going on back in the kitchen, as they would have had lots of time to prepare our 4 meals properly, and preferably hot. But that was not the case. We will probably not be back.

    The food was amazing, and the ambience also the interior of the building was beautiful. Busy restaurant but the service was quick than i expected. Jowel was the server but the manager wearing the grey jacket (forgot the name) was nice and engaging. Overall, love the food and the service there, definitely will be back if i ever visit toronto again.
