   Had high expectations for Korean fusion. Extremely disappointed on food, service, and cleaniness of the restaurant.

   TLDR: really wanted to love this place but left feeling disappointed both food and service. Don't think I'll return. Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday on a Saturday night. Put in a special note hoping they could do a little bit surprise in the end. The general manager acknowledged beforehand via message and hostess upon arrival gave us a handwritten card with his name on it. Unfortunately it all went downhill from here. We had a two hour dining experience - did not even get one "happy birthday". Mind you both tables next to us got complimentary welcome drinks, a free dessert with candle, and a flower. We saw multiple times of their "routine" thinking we would get in the end. Nothing. Our waiter asked if we wanted any dessert, we were too full so passed but I thought at least we would get a little note with a flower. Nothing. He gave us the checks and sent us home. What a weird and disappointing experience. For that only, I would not return. Plus the food is way overpriced and mediocre for how much we are paying and we tried a lot of items on the menu - most of them are underwhelming. Food: nothing mind blown. mostly are bland/could use more salt. The only one we both thoroughly enjoyed is the bao buns (5/5). Both beef and mushroom are good but I prefer the mushroom. The bao is slightly crispy outside but soft inside. The stuffing had a good flavor and very balanced with kimchi and other fixings. Cucumber kimchi (2/5) had a nice sauce but the cucumber itself had no flavor at all. We both feel like by calling it kimchi is very misleading and it needed more time. On the other hand the bean sprout kimchi (4/5) were well seasoned and we both liked. Octopus (3/5) texture was great but again under seasoned. Same with tuna crispy rice (3/5). It had good amount of toppings but I found myself constantly looking for more seasoning. We were very excited for the shiitake fettuccine (1/5) but it was a huge letdown. Way too lemony with no mushroom flavor at all

   I was so excited to eat here but was so sad by the end of the night. First, it took 15 minutes for us to be greeted by the waiter with water once we sat down. I was so thirsty and the water was warm - not refreshing at all. Our waiter Josiah seemed nice but was so unbelievably slow. We put in our first drink order and that took another 20 minutes to come out. Second, the first three things on the menu we tried to order they were out of or just no longer carry. It was only 7pm so it was a bit disappointing to be out of food already. I would understand if it was around 830pm or something but not 7pm. Third, he never refilled our waters on his own - we would wait forever and then have to flag him down and ask - this happened twice. Fourth, I had to get up from my table and go to the bar to order another drink and point to what table I was at to get the drinks. Fifth, the bus boys would walk by our small two-top table multiple times and leave dirty plates there. I had to ask them three times to clear our table. The only person who seemed to clear the table on their own was who - I think - was the manager. Sixth, the restaurant gives you two free hours of parking which is amazing. But Josiah was so unbelievably slow that we ended up having to pay for parking anyways. the restaurant was not very busy so I don't understand why it was such bad service from the waiter. The table to our left was also being shooed out super disrespectfully even though they were trying to finish their wine. A different waiter can up and said "your card went through a while ago so you guys are good to leave now". The food was good and the ambience was cute - I liked the pink tiles in the women's bathroom. if it weren't for the service I would have given it three stars. It was not what I expected it to be - it is not an elevated dining experience. Just a lot of waiting and going to the bar for help and overpriced food (i.e - the Boa Buns were filled with 95% Kimichi and 5% bulgogi)

   Choi’s made my husband’s dinner such a special occasion, and Kenny and Josiah were attentive, friendly, and helpful servers! We loved our time here and can’t to celebrate with Choi’s again soon.

   The Korean chicken, scallop toast and dessert pancake were some of the best food I have ever had! Would 100% recommend!

   This was my first time at Choi’s. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary. There was a nice little note for us on our table when we arrived. I was also given a rose at the end of dinner. It was a Tuesday night, so the place was not busy at all, which was nice. It was also nice that they have a parking garage and it’s free for two hours, didn’t have to deal with looking for a spot. They didn’t have the appetizers that I wanted to order (they were out), but for our meal, we ordered the pork belly Bossam and Galbi hot stone bowl. Both dishes were good. Got a couple of cocktails and dessert. ( one of the dessert I wanted was out too) Overall the service was great, food was ok and ambience was nice. Glad I got to try out this place.

    We had a great dining experience at this restaurant —- service and food were top notch! From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, friendly hostess who showed us to our table with a handwritten personalized note to welcome our party. The gold bag holder was also a nice touch. Josiah was our server and made outstanding recommendations for great family style dishes to appeal to any palate. He was supported by the attentive Choi and Kenny who made sure we had a great dining experience. We enjoyed the bao, hamachi crispy rice and octopus as the small plates. The crispy chicken entree did not disappointed and the warm crispy hotteok dessert was the perfect ending to an enjoyable meal. The decor is also sleek and modern including the beautiful bathrooms. This restaurant was a highlight of our trip and highly recommend.
