   This is a hidden gem. We were in Lexington for my son’s birthday and the following day was Easter. My son wanted to breakfast and realizing Easter was the next day options were limited. This place had availability and we booked. The food was amazing! The people, cooks, hostesses, everyone was so friendly and amazing! The house is beautiful. I would definitely go again and most likely stay as a guest as it’s a bed and breakfast.

   I visited on Valentine's Day. I suspect that made it quite busier than usual and, for that reason, I'm willing to overlook a few details that will of course happen. However, despite having had long-standing reservations, our party of two was seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. The appetizer and entree tasted very good, however the portion sizes were quite small. The dessert portion size was even smaller. The staff and server were extremely friendly and the location quite beautiful. Over all it was a good experience. I just had hoped for one that was better.

   Disappointed in our meal at Chez Lyndon. We went for Valentine’s Day 2025. Service was excellent and all staff very kind and welcoming. Our table was in the room next to the kitchen. There was no music and you could hear every word from the kitchen. We ordered the puff pastry brie for an appetizer. It was luke warm and the puffy pastry was undercooked. The lobster ravioli was delicious but there were 3 ravioli on the plate (for $36). The bread pudding dessert was very disappointing- dry with little flavor. While we enjoyed the ambiance and wanted to love our meal, we just didn’t and it was not worth the $150 price tag.

   A very interesting place to have NYE dinner, the history of this old house is so cool! It was a set menu with a few choices for starters and entrees. We ordered a salad for one of our starters - it came after our entree and was missing a main ingredient. Both my bisque and my entree were barely warm enough. Chocolate cake serving was very small and disappointing. All the food was seasoned well and tasted good, just wish it had been served hot.

   Just can’t recommend. It may be a great place for a B & B stay but they dropped the ball on NYE way before midnight. Great cocktails paired with luke warm soup and beef to match. The dessert was pretty good and the presentation on everything was nice. 15 min to get the check. Much better spots in Lexington to spend $200 plus for a fancy night out. It appears the kitchen just isn’t equipped to handle a crowd. Unfortunately we won’t be giving it a second try.

   The Lyndon House is GORGEOUS. It was a lovely environment for a holiday meal. Our server was polite and friendly. Will definitely go back.
