   We wer party of 5, my kids loved d food, d service was really good. It was a good experience. It was our first time eating Ethiopian food.

   When we arrived for our reservation, they said they didn’t take reservations. We had to wait at the bar for a table. The food was not as flavorful as I expected, and as I have experienced with other Ethiopian restaurants. I don’t feel this restaurant is a particularly good value. It’s good but not great and for what we ordered it was expensive.

   Our first experience and it was a tasty one!!! In the future we agreed we would order a specific menu item in stead of the sampler platter, which gave us a taste of everything. We will return

   Quality of food was excellent but we needed more guidance on what to order as it was our first time of eating Ethiopian. The family share platter of a vegetarian choice was too small and then oddly the waiter added the meat dishes to the vegetarian platter. Be aware that no silverware or plates are provided unless specifically requested. Choice of desserts was limited. We ate upstairs and the room was cold. The men in our group loved the experience and the women did not.

   This was my second time visiting CherCher DC. The food is all excellent and an outstanding value. I especially love the collard greens and the lamb stew.

   Please note that THEY DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS ON OPEN TABLE despite being listed on OpenTable! You can make the reservation online but they will not honor it. Otherwise, it's an excellent Ethiopian restaurant. We especially enjoyed the special beef tibs.
