   Really lovely evening, we were looked after very well and the food was super. We first visited the week it reopened and I’d say the food was even better this time. Good steak, delicious pork belly and great fish and chips. I had a Mediterranean salad with salmon which was delicious ( only niggle was the olives still have the stones in ) Good choice of food on the menu too. We will definitely be returning.

   Our first visit to the Chequers inn , We had the carvery , best one we’ve had Definitely will be booking again.

   If we had known with a dog you had to sit in the bar we would have thought again as we were either offered a table in front of the bar, the bar area or a sofa chair we could not sit on to eat a roast. Previously we would have sat in the conservatory with a dog. Sitting in the bar meant we got no table service and had to queue every time we wanted anything behind lots of people just wanting drinks. We had the same when we wanted a pudding menu and gave up and the same for a second drinks order. My daughters meat also wasn’t good it was all fatty and had to be changed.

   We took my daughter and little grandson and we were looked after very well.Carvery was great and plenty of it.The only thing was I would have preferred the veg to be a little less al dente but thats just my personal preference

   Our first visit back since the new owners have taken over, we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We already had drinks so the waitress asked what size lunch we wanted and we were handed casino chips with letters on lol. The food was absolutely beautiful lots of selection of veg and 3 types of meat. The actual bar and restaurant is spotless and quirky. We will definitely be back.

   We had the carvery. The food was great, a good choice of vegetables and the meat (beef in our case) was just the right amount of pink. Desserts were tasty too. Service was super friendly and efficient. The new decor is much brighter than before and I loved the gold bench seats.

   We recently visited The Chequers Inn in Lytchett for a Sunday carvery, and it was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The carvery itself was spot on – generous portions, beautifully cooked meats, and a great selection of fresh, perfectly prepared vegetables. The roast potatoes were crispy and golden, just how they should be, and the Yorkshire puddings were light and fluffy. The gravy tied everything together brilliantly – rich, flavourful, and clearly homemade. Service was friendly and efficient without feeling rushed, and it was clear that the staff take real pride in both the food and the customer experience. It’s not always easy to get a carvery right, but The Chequers Inn absolutely nailed it. Great value for money, great atmosphere, and excellent food. We’ll definitely be back – highly recommended!
