   Check in took a while as there was one person trying to setttle it all on a Saturday night, she however was nice when taking us to our table. Service was extremely slow and scatter, took our drinks and app orders and didn’t see her for a while. Entrees ordered and delivered and we didn’t see our server for maybe 20-30 mins , estimating, no refills for the young one and we couldn’t get a second round in. Steak was well done vs medium rare which it happens but once I finally told the server about it, not a manager came to check in and at that point everyone had finish eating so I just decided to not have dinner at all and we went to dessert elsewhere. What was supposed to be a memorable 25th birthday celebration, lacked service, timing, and above all manager presence or care in the whole dining experience. What a disappointment

   Alejandro was an excellent, attentive waiter with a great personality who didn’t rush us. The food was superb and the drinks were mm, mm good! Everyone on the staff was very friendly and courteous.

   I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years, and while the location remains unbeatable—with stunning views of the waterfront—the quality of the food has unfortunately declined significantly. During my most recent visit, the crab soup was poorly blended. The lobster roll was particularly disappointing—bland, as if the lobster had just come out of the fridge and was placed directly onto the bun. The fries were hard and dry, almost like they had been reheated from the night before. Our waitress was kind, but she seemed a bit overwhelmed—even though the restaurant was far from busy, which made the experience feel a little off. At this point, the only real draw is the view. I’d maybe return for a drink outside on a nice day, but I wouldn’t come back for the food. It’s a shame, because this used to be one of my favorite spots.

   I requested a bday cake celebration and even told the hostess... never happened and service was very slow!

   Took the family here for dinner. Food came out cold. Food order was messed up. I don’t know what has happened with Chart House over the years but very horrible experience. The only plus was the cheesecake slice given to us for all of the mess-up’s but we will not be back.

   Although quite busty for midafternoon we were put in a quiet spot . Somewhat limited menu eat lunch but still tasted good. Great birthday coffee ice cream cake we all shared( complimentary) service was great . ( Easter weekend)

   Terrific river setting, very good food, and excellent wait service. My family enjoyed cream of crab soup, crab cakes, and a Caesar salad with chicken entree very much. The waiter was attentive, quick to refill beverage glasses, and realized from my Landry's account that I had recently celebrated a birthday resulting in a delicious "surprise" mudpie desert with lighted candle. I would definitely return to Chart House Alexandria again for a most satisfying dining experience.

    Overpriced for food a step above Applebees. Location is good but inside is very dated.
