   Service great! We ordered the $22 broiled fish (Friday in Lent) and it was a bit overcooked and dry. One ordered the breaded, fried fish and really enjoyed it. Atmosphere is lovely, would go back again.

   We haven't been there since 2 years ago (not sure why we didn't get there last year) so we didn't see the remodeling they did in the restaurant area. All I can say is WOW! New high top tables, new chairs, new flooring, new paint scheme - inside looks GREAT! As for the food, I still will rate their fish fry as BEST in Lake County. Love how you have 3 options (battered, broiled, or half/half) and all 3 are All You Can Eat! Fish is never over battered and you get a nice quantity for you serving. Our server Sergio was outstanding and always made sure we were good with drinks, re-orders of fish, etc. Definitely will be back again this Lent. They also serve their fish outside of Lent season as well.

   This was the first night after their grand opening and we had a waiter that was new and could not answer our questions. He was a considerate person and since our group was not in a hurry we understood. It took time for our drinks and food but when we got them, all was great. The Friday night fish fry is definitely a good deal. All you can eat and you could order baked or tempura fried cod. It was all very good and my friend said it was the best fish sauce she ever had. The cole slaw was very good also. I think once the staff becomes familiar with the menu, etc., the order time will improve. The seating was comfortable. The lighting is good to see the menu but I would have preferred a dimmer look. We all agreed that this spot was a keeper and that we would return.

   We went specifically for the Friday fish fry. It was freshly made, not re- heated, and tasty. Plus the fries were outstanding, also freshly made. Our table overlooked the practice putting green and the 28th fairway. Being a golfer this was a fun background to watch. Gerber, our waiter, was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive. There were mostly golfers after their round having drinks rather than diners, but we will go back again as the menu looked good for other items other than the fish fry.

   Our first time here. We had a reservation for 6:45 and were a bit early, yet they seated us right away. We came for the fish fry because we had heard such good things. They had a host, one server for everyone, a person bussing tables and what looked to be a manager and a bartender. We were asked about drinks right away and ordered beer and wine. Then we ordered the half broiled and half fried fish special, and were told we were the last ones because that just ran out of fish. My husband had the boiled potatoes and I had the fries. We also ordered side Caesar salads. The salads were pretty good. When our entrees came out, they looked pretty good, but right away we asked for more lemon, tarter sauce (because there wasn’t any) and another beer. All of those took nearly ten minutes to get, when we clearly saw the manager just standing around. We were about halfway through our meal when it all finally came. The fried fish was definitely better than the broiled, as that was on the drier side and somewhat tasteless. Fries were good and so were the potatoes. Coleslaw was just okay. Overall, we would give it another try, in hopes that the service would improve. Having one server for both inside and outside, is not enough especially on a Friday night. Our server was very sweet, but spread far too thin.

   Great Mother's Day all-you-can eat brunch. It was a little more pp than the group was looking for, but the food was great, service was great, and we were very happy that were NOT over-packed in with too many tables and a lot of turn-the-table pressure, like other special events are often. Overall, it was a great event and we'll be going again!

   We all enjoyed the brunch today for Mother’s Day! The food and service was wonderful. There was a huge selection of food and there was an omelette and carving station. We will definitely be back!!

   Charlie's Hideaway has the best fish fry! It's always good. I love that they are having the fish fry all year and that they will be open every evening.

    Fantastic experience from start to finish. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The menu offered a great variety, catering to various tastes and preferences.
