   This is not a great restaurant. The server had no clue as to what service is. I ordered a bottle of wine, she opened and just poured two glasses, did not offer a taste. It is an Italian restaurant and there was no complimentary bread offered. My friend ordered the arancini, and she said you could tell the oil that it was fried in was old. I had a Caesar salad to start which was ok, but a bit over priced at $17.00. We both had a pasta dish for dinner, I had bolognese. It was just slopped onto a plate, tomato splatter everywhere and it was bland, also very little meat in it. I will never go back!

   Definitely not recommended. For a Friday evening dinner, restaurant had a number of key menu items that weren’t available (sea bass, key linguine ingredients, gelato and even Nestea!). The linguine that was ordered was loaded with pepper that it was inedible after a few bites. Raised this with the host who was pushy to the extent of trying to get a takeout as a replacement before offering to just remove it from the final bill (which I eventually requested that she do). Pizzas were somehow soggy in the middle while burnt around the crust, which I’ve never quite seen before. Host was very disorganized and quite pushy with alternatives that they ACTUALLY had. Won’t return.

   Good and service were very good. Tiramisu out of this world. Appearance used to be more upscale but now looks somewhat rundown.

   It was truly a great experience for me and my girlfriend. The meat pizza was fabulous and pasta was light and creamy, exactly what we love! The server was very polite and the place had a calm vibe. Definitely recommend this!

   We were back at Cellar Door after being there several times in the last few years. But things have declined - the food remains good, but the ambience is lost, the music could barely be heard, the tables and cutlery and dishware look old and everything has sort of declined in general. Our server was nice, but with only 4 tables being seated while we were there, yhe service could have been better. Sadly, it looks like the new ownership have lost the charm that Cellar Door used to have as a sit-down restaurant. Maybe they do good business as a take-out restaurant, because I saw several delivery people coming in to pick up meals while we were there, and the food is good.

   A hidden gem. Great pasta and pizza dishes and lovely and attentive service.

    I went to Cellar door about 8 years ago and it was fantastic. It is not the same place anymore.
