   I’d been here before years ago but this time it was very sterile and so sad. Our waiter was abrupt and had no personality didn’t even introduce himself. It was really bad . He rushed us and then was just cold

   This is our 6th time at the Lodge. All agreed our meals were the best we have ever had at the Lodge. We wanted to compliment the chef's pick of foods. Our server was so kind and helpful. She made our birthday celebration special.

   The food was delicious and the setting was very relaxing. Not a huge fan of the LED lighting though.

   Inventive food - every dish we had was fantastic. Too full for dessert but had to try the porcini mushroom honey crème brûlée. It might have been the best part of a great meal.

   We enjoyed our tea very much. Excellent tea, scones, crumpets. The tea sandwiches could use a little more finesse and the desserts were good, not great. That being said, beautiful room and setup, friendly, attentive waitstaff, lovely music.

   Everything was wonderful and delicious but we waited over an hour for our meals. Our waitress did bring us complimentary bread though which was thoughtful.

   The sandwiches were dry(the thin bread was actually curled at the edges), the water wasn’t hot enough to brew good tea, and the service was below average. The scones were the smallest I’ve ever seen, but the crumpets were delicious. We missed not having lemon curd . The room was lovely.

    From start to finish, our Chef's Tasting experience was nothing short of incredible . Each dish was amazing, beautifully crafted to showcase the ingredients. Attention to detail was evident in every stunning course, and the presentation was as gorgeous as the flavors were bold and balanced. It is not often that one finds a vegetarian tasting experience that is as celebratory of vegetables as this one. The service was impeccable—attentive, yet not overbearing and the restaurant, as well as the property on which it sits, is lovely and feels as if it is a world away from the bustle of downtown Seattle. I would highly recommend this restaurant and the Chef's Tasting menu. It made the celebration of my husband's birthday a truly special and memorable event.
