    My server was excellent and the whole staff helping was great too. My veal was excellent as was the fries squash blossoms, stuffed. Sorry to hear the end days are near, but will never forget this great Italian restaurant.

    It was the last time we would be able to dine there before it closed. We have been experiencing Cavey’s for 20 years and we have loved every meal. We will miss it.

    Cavey's will truly be missed by us... we got to visit one last time (the night prior to their closing) & as always had an amazing time.... the Food & Service outstanding. Will truly be missed... 85+ years in business based on family history... & great food...

    We have always loved Cavey’s. The food is awesome, especially Grandmas raviolis. The service staff is friendly, efficient, and just delightful.

    Cavey's is one of the best Italian restaurants in Connecticut (one or two) and we are very sorry to see this wonderful institution close. It will be missed!

    Great food and presentation. However, the restaurant was so dark (especially where we were seated) that we couldn't even read the menu without using our phones as flashlights. The bar is in the next room from the main restaurant and as a result the noise level was pretty high, and more than I would've liked for an upscale restaurant. Music and applause meant that patrons in the restaurant had to speak loudly in order to converse and contributed to the volume. Service was good and wait time was reasonable. Menu was a bit limited, but varied and as mentioned was delicious. Large wine selection, even though many were well-outside our price range the final check was actually less than expected. Considering the new ownership I would probably chalk some of the minor complaints to growing pains that will work themselves out. Overall I'd certainly go again and would recommend.
